Well if you were in trouble OR A FREAKING BABY you would be left behind. That is what your choosing? You still have not addressed that issue. Your dancing all around it but not touching it. Jane would leave you if she felt it too risky or if you were helpless crippled.
As for Kenny, I will admit his reckless behavior and anger were problems. But he had a grip on his anger because he never attacked anybody in his anger only when he felt they were endangering somebody he cared about. And why should he want to "change his opinions and stupid plans" when in the end the game proved his plan was far superior to the rest of the people in the group. He saved AJ and Clem and got them to the safety of Wellington where they can have a normal life. But if you had your way he would have changed his stupid plan/opinion and headed south so they could be preyed upon by more herds and other groups of survivors? He took a stand against the group to accomplish his goal and im glad he didnt back down because he put clem and AJ first. Something selfish people like you and Jane obviously dont understand. You only put yourself first.
I wouldnt want to have "guardian" like Kenny with me, since he would only cause problems with his inability to change his opinions, his ange… morer issues, his reckless behaviour and stupid plans. Sure he might sacrifice his life for me, but while he is not doing that, he is getting me in trouble.
Someone Like Jane would do her best to keep me safe and i'd do the same to her (if we had similar relationship as Jane and Clem). The reason i like Jane is that we are very similar with objective/rational/logical worldviews and people like me/Jane are rather rare.
Kenny wasn't doing it to be funny, He was just negative, i don't blame Kenny, i totally understand what he is going through because i was diagnosed with PTSD three years ago myself.
That's not the impression I got, as they were quick to share a smile and discuss Luke's career choices further. However, it could easily be Luke just letting it stew, like you said. I honestly can't tell. I just didn't get that negative vibe from Kenny here.
I think Luke understood that he was in pain and he didn't antagonize him like Jane would have. That is why i respect him for it, i know its a little silly to say you respect a fictitious character, but there you go.
It's not dumb, really. I respect so many of them. Even the ones like Pete and Alvin. People we didn't get to know that well.
Haha, I always took it as them just joking around. I thought Kenny said it for a laugh. I mean, they were just starting to get along. Moment… mores like that where you get to crack a joke at someone and he goes along with it are truly amazing.
Kenny wasn't doing it to be funny, He was just negative, i don't blame Kenny, i totally understand what he is going through because i was diagnosed with PTSD three years ago myself.
Kenny's pain is so raw, he hasn't developed any way to deal with his anger, rage, sadness, self loathing whatever. It took me a long time to get okay with with who i am, especially after coming back to the states. I spent a lot of nights drinking alone talking to dead friends or enemies. I Isolated myself from other people, I didn't want to spend time with anyone, i just wanted to be left alone.

dear god now people are just gonna attack the title of this topic as if I meant it literally. Kenny was right about everything that mattered in the end of season 2 is what I should have said. Its just not provocative enough of a title sorry.
* Satan means "the accuser", not "the deceiver."
* Jesus never would have beaten Arvo, or attacked Jane.

Your analysis is far too black and white. The Walking Dead intentionally creates morally grey characters and scentarios.
this is very revealing about why you have the apparent lack of values you display here. Well whats the point of living in the first place? There is no purpose or meaning to our lives, so we must figure them out ourselves. Set your personal goals and live by them.
funny that just because zykelator plays a silly game on the PC he/she thinks that the key to survival is becoming selfish and inhumane. Last time i checked every measure of the evolution of society has stated the exact opposite is the case.

Cool temperature and cool slang mean completely different things.
There is no "everything" slang. Everything means everything. It's an all inclusive statement and misusing it is stupid. :P
This post makes me happy. I could not agree more with you about this post. I really thought that a lot of people who just flat out didn't li… moreke Kenny leaped at the chance to shoot him, it was finally their excuse to do so. Telltale was kind enough to not just give us 1, but 2 chances to shoot Kenny. So, even if people didn't like Jane or Kenny, they could both be done away with.
Kenny may be quick to act, and irrational sometimes, and fairly rough, but he was right, about a lot of things. And above all else, I truly think he wanted to protect what was left of what he considered his family.
Jane risked her life to save Clem from the water, something she wouldnt have done if she only cared about her own life. If i was crippled and couldnt survive on my own anymore, i would just end my life.
He attacked Arvo 3 times, while he was unarmed. 1 of them if determinant.
First he starts punching him after they try to rob them, even though he is unarmed and didnt even shoot at them.
(determinant) When we are at campfire and Arvo yells at mike to leave him alone, Kenny comes and punches Arvo with his gun, knocking him unconscious.
At the house, Kenny starts provoking Arvo and after Arvo starts to defy him, he starts to beat him again for no reason. (too impatient to search for supplies and if Clementine fell to the icy water, he ignores Clementines safety because of his anger issues).
How i see it, Kenny was just out of control and i was eager to leave him behind before Mike (bonnie) and Arvo even betrayed us.
You cant jusfify your pick based on information you gain later on. His plan wasnt superior, it was stupid, risky and irrational. Outcome of his plan was superior.

I havent had this much fun debating since the Mass Effect 3 Ending message boards! I guess that a good ending can provoke just as much debate a horrible crappy ending too.
ps.
Why would you feel sorry for me? I'm going to enjoy my life as good as i can and then die. I dont need or even want a purpose for my life, im fine just like this.

I feel sorry for anybody who says we live in a boring world/universe and that thinks there "is no purpose or meaning" to their life. You also sound like a person who will never procreate and has a very low opinion of children and life in general. It just sounds like a pathetic worldview to me sort of depressing.

Nah... Im perfectly fine like this. Not depressed or anything, just facing the facts. We are here by a random chance and we have no purpose or meaning.
What i mean by boring universe is that there is no anything cool like magic, zombies, dragons and shit like that, which comes from our imagination.

Well now your contradicting yourself quite a bit here. is it better to be inhumane and only have your own survival be top priority or not? Because then you mention Jane risked her life to save Clem from the water, which she did. She was not a black and white character; she had depth and that is why I really liked her character. I was sad when she died. She had many redeeming qualities I just thought she was misguided. I just wasnt willing to kill Kenny to bail her out of the mess she put herself in by provoking him. Not a very smart survivalist thing for her to do either. To get herself in a fight with a man who was obviously way stronger than her and she had little chance of beating. without some kind of weapon.
Also, why do you care that Arvo was unarmed or not. Is it inhumane to attack somebody unarmed? He attacked our group so shouldnt survival instinct tell us to just eliminate any potential threats that could backstab us? The same way you said you would kill/leave a baby because it might attract walkers. Shouldn't your priority for survival tell you that Arvo and his threat of revenge for his sister and his group is just risky to keep around. I personally dont care whether he was armed or not since he led a group of armed thugs which almost killed us and possibly led to the death of Luke (shot in the leg weakened). He should have died with the rest of his thugs. In my book he isnt any less guilty because he didnt have a gun.
Im just curious where you get these weird morals (saving people, not murdering, and no attacking unarmed people) when you say humanity is weakness and the only thing that matters about is survival. SO which is it?

Well sure, best for your survival is to take care of yourself only, but its always nice to have someone look cover after you. Well Arvo should have been killed the first time they saw him. Next good time was when they got the supplies. All the pointless violence between point a to b was pretty stupid.
I decide my own moral values. In case of za, i could be very cold or immoral, or also risk my life/make sacrifices (mainly because i dont care that much about life) for people i really care about. Trust me, its a mess .

I will agree with you on that. No need for the torturous beatings. If your gonna kill him just make it quick a shot to the head when at the same time they were killing Arvo's group. Arvo kept doing stupid things like trying to run and escape twice, this only served to infuriate Kenny who was already on a short fuse with the death of Sarita. It seemed Kenny wasnt just beating him for trying to run but also venting all his frustration for the death of Sarita and Luke at Arvo as well. I am not gonna say that makes it okay infact I agree with you for once. This was pointless violence. Either kill him or dont but no point beating him like that. I remember asking Kenny to stop at that point and he promised it wouldn't.
Since we actually agree on something lets just end this by agreeing to disagree. I see your point of view and I respect your right feel like the choice you made was best for Clem and AJ. All I ask is that you do the same and not act like we are all retarded for realizing Kenny was a good guy despite how the ZA has changed him for the worse.
P.S. you seem like an articulate man/woman and I enjoy debating. I am a little to worried to hear you say you dont care about your life and I hope that changes for you. Until next time. Im done with this for now. Agree to disagree

Well I am not here to nitpick and over-analyze endlessly over the definitions in debate, but I am quite confident many would agree and understand the basic premise of my original proposal that Satan is indeed known for deception as well. If Satan has deceived many then he should be justly labeled as a deceiver, just as if a person who commits murder is a murderer. Theft? your a thief. and I do not feel I was 100% incorrect with saying Satan is the master of deception or equivalent to deception and is there-fore a deceiver. Terms can and do have plural meanings.
Jesus would never have to do anything as apparently he's omniscient-all knowing and would know what Jane has done with the baby anyhow (You say Jesus would never beat Arvo or kill Jane yet he'd supposedly send them both to burn in hell forever if for not believing in him or obeying him, And Jesus whom is considered God as well has killed plenty of nations throughout biblical history if you know so much to the T of word meanings then you should/ought to know at least some of the scriptures as well. Yet Kenny gets heat and judgement from you and others that also agree. When Kenny gets enraged by folks that do not agree or side with him.
Choosing Kenny (to me at least) is metaphorically like selecting Christ far as the endings go from a biblical perspective. With the Wellington ending providing more closure and hope as your mission throughout the entire season was to make it to Wellington even in the beginning with Christa. sort of like a "promise land" or "heaven". Howe's is back tracking to old ground with awful tyrannical memories of the past as well as having been ransacked and devastated and in a way "hellish" in appearance.
There is possibly more hope at Wellington (most likely even though no one has experienced anything beyond the walls or the people there, but one can theorize that it is a decent community for survivors and slower walkers in the winter) and more uncertainty and strangeness associated with Howe's with maybe quicker walkers with the warmer climate. Even Clem looks worried after letting the weirdo family inside with the guy and his halfway concealed gun. If Clem turned them away then things could even get uglier as she could have just made a few new foes right off the bat. All thanks to Jane making you see Kenny and his dangerously "evil" ways because he wanted to try his hardest to get Clem and AJ safely to Wellington.
But I will give you the purgatory/limbo complaint. At the time I thought they had similar meanings. But I'll edit it to say limbo only.

Discussion about the game and it's fictional characters is of course welcome as that is what the forums are for, but please refrain from derailing threads with discussions about how fans of a certain character will respond. Likewise, please refrain from getting personally offended over the person opinions other users hold over fictional characters. Thanks.
Everyone who truly wishes a ZA has completely lost his/her mind. Man, first world problems. People have it way too good nowadays. In Africa, kids are starving, and we are complaining about marrying, having kids and eventually dying. It's truly sad what this society has become.

Guys, please watch yourselves and stay civil. I'd prefer not to see this thread dissolve into yet another heated debate over the Kenny/Jane debate - and likewise with discussions about how other people respond to the debate. Thanks in advance.

Well all i've ever claimed is that considering the mental state and everything about Kenny, Jane was more rational/logical pick, assuming the priority was your own survival and Jane would surely look after you (and provide nice company) and be more reliable companion than Kenny. I understand that many dont like people like Jane, and they didnt want to give up on Kenny, but in za, i would pick more stable person over broken old friend.
Its pretty much the difference between me and most people who side with Kenny. I would be ready to kill my old friend in order to save new friend, who is "better" companion. (and again, "better" meaning being ready to do what it takes to survive, no backstabbing included)
ps. People just dont like to hear that their pick was based more on emotions rather than logic and rationality.

You don't really know anything about Wellington. For all you know it could be like Woodbury or Terminus.
Nothing Jane said was lie with the exception of hiding the baby.
The number of people who agree is irrelevant. It could easily be argued that Kenny could be a metaphor for a false prophet leading an unwitting person to damnation.
Kenny brought hostility into a stable group and drove it apart by creating an atmosphere of hostility and fear.
Nobody knew if Wellington really existed, not even Kenny. Kenny got lucky.
I would argue that Howe's in analogous to Noah's ark in that the wicked and corrupt world that was populated by Carver and his group has been washed clean by the flood of walkers and Clementine and Jane have returned to rebuild on the newly cleansed land.

Besides, if you are all alone, life can get boring without someone to talk with. If it was up to me, id pick 1 really good friend to be with in za, avoid groups and all the drama. What Jane did was pretty stupid, but she did it for Clementine. Emotions can could your judgement and Kenny is perfect example of that.
Trust me, its a mess
.
Well za would be more interesting than whats going on currently. go to school- more school- unemplyed- job-girlfriend-marriage-kids-die.... Thats just not for me.
"Well Arvo should have been killed the first time they saw him. Next good time was when they got the supplies. All the pointless violence between point a to b was pretty stupid"

Kenny.
Period.
Amen to that aldimon
Well all i've ever claimed is that considering the mental state and everything about Kenny, Jane was more rational/logical pick, assuming the priority was your own survival and Jane would surely look after you (and provide nice company) and be more reliable companion than Kenny. I understand that many dont like people like Jane, and they didnt want to give up on Kenny, but in za, i would pick more stable person over broken old friend.
Its pretty much the difference between me and most people who side with Kenny. I would be ready to kill my old friend in order to save new friend, who is "better" companion. (and again, "better" meaning being ready to do what it takes to survive, no backstabbing included)
ps. People just dont like to hear that their pick was based more on emotions rather than logic and rationality.
pretty much thinks it's best off alone? xd
i see
Sorry to say that - but you're one messed up, depressing person. You should go and look for professional help, and I don't say that to insult you - but it sounds like you have a depression and a death wish, which kinda makes me worry.

I would argue that Howe's in analogous to Noah's ark in that the wicked and corrupt world that was populated by Carver and his group has been washed clean by the flood of walkers and Clementine and Jane have returned to rebuild on the newly cleansed land.
