THE TRAININGS: PART 10
DISTRICT 5: Anne
The Hunger Games seem to get scarier and scarier every day.
Everyday it seems to get harder… more and harder to get out of bed, even the training centre. Everyday, a part of me dies inside. I know for a fact I'm not going to win. My entire life I had been terrible at games. All the mind games at school, I always lost. Any sort of games with friends, I was the first one out. Even card games or those small board games I would always lose. Games were not my forte, so why would the Hunger Games be any different?
I mean, the Hunger Games are the most dangerous games alive. When you lose, you don't just 'sit out' and watch the other kids play. You were dead. Gone forever. So, when you know you're going to lose and die, it's kind of hard to make yourself put some actual effort into learning new things like edible plants, and starting a fire.
My plan, as of now, was to run away from the bloodbath and h… [view original content]
THE PRIVATE SESSIONS: PART 2
DISTRICT 1: Alexia
"Hurry up and sit down!" Our Stylist barks.
We sit down next to each other, and I t… moreightly grip onto Finnegan's hand.
A number 9 appeared underneath Finnegan's face, and I almost fell out of the chair right there and then. He got a nine?! Our Stylist and Mentor congratulate him, even I congratulate him.
"Good job, kid." Gloss says, patting him on the back.
My eyes have never been so fixed onto something so well. It's my turn. It's time for the big reveal. A golden ten shimmered underneath my picture. I jump out of my seat in excitement and scream out, "YES! YES!"
DISTRICT 2: Lachlan
"Looks like she was hiding something after all," Vivienne comments with a look of disgust on her face.
As the golden ten shimmered underneath Alexia's picture, I just nodded. That seemed appropriate. I knew she was hiding something, an ten is merely impossible for her. I would've expected an… [view original content]
Leaning over, I tie my shoes, nervously tapping my other foot. Ever since I woke up, I haven't been able to sit still. If anything, I just want to get on the hovercraft already and be in the arena. I just want to get all of this over with. I sit back up, stretch my back, and look back at Miah.
"I'm not scared," I say sarcastically "What's there to be scared about?"
Miah shrugs again. "The Games. Not living to see another day."
"Yeah, of course. I've been thinking about it all night." I admit. She probably didn't pick up my sarcasm when I said I wasn't scared.
She shakes her head quickly, turning back and around, grabbing the hairbrush. She tugs at her hair, her hands shaking as she pats it down. "I hate waiting.. Ugh, it makes me feel even worse."
"I agree," I say, sighing. "Just a little bit longer."
"Yeah," she says, focusing on her hair in the mirror. "Just a little bit longer until one of us might get a sword through the chest."
I chuckle. I've gotten used to Miah's dry sense of humor, but of all days, she should keep her remarks to a minimum. "I have a lot more to worry about than a sword through the chest."
"Like an arrow through the neck," Miah says, and I catch her slowly frowning in the mirror. "Or a club to the head."
Suddenly, a loud knock comes through the door.
"It's time!"
DISTRICT 2: Lachlan
5:40AM
"So," Brutus says, breaking the silence in the room. He stands up and so does our escort. They both come closer, their hands reached out in front of them in fists. "As you know, I like traditions, and so does your escort, Trioana."
"What's this?" I ask, both Vivienne and I unsure of what's going on.
"It's stupid, we know," our escort says, shrugging her shoulders. "Just stand up and put your fists in the middle."
Both Vivienne and I stand up, our fists out in front of us, and we form a circle with the two of them, all of our fists touching. Brutus has a smirk on his face and our escort closes her eyes. Vivienne's eyes are narrowed, and we stand there silently. When Brutus closes his eyes, I close mine as well, only hearing all of us breathing.
"It's time District Two gets a new victor," Brutus begins. "Don't you think, Lachlan?"
"I do."
"Don't you, Vivienne?"
"I do."
"So, let's do it," Brutus continues. "Let's bring one home. Let's bring another victor back to District Two."
One.
That's all that can survive. Both Vivienne and I can't; only one of us can. I don't mean to be selfish, but I put myself before Vivienne, and it's obvious she does the same. I want to go home. I want to go home just as badly as everyone else here.
"Good luck for today, remember what I taught you." Brutus says, and escort echoes him, repeating his words after he says it. "We'll be watching."
DISTRICT 4: Rain
5:58AM
"Everyone, everyone! It's time to go!"
Pushing open my door, I nervously walk through it, coming out of my room at the same time as Luke. He tilts his head, nervously smiling at me, and I walk the other way. I meet my escort, stylist, and both of our mentors at the door, all of them watching Luke and I. When we approach them, our escort opens the door, letting the two of us walk out first.
They all walk in front of me now, letting me fall behind as we walk to the elevator. Luke takes his time, too, but we don't walk side-by-side. Ever since last night, I've started to just blank him out. Only one comes out of the arena, and I don't want to get too attached to Luke.
"Can you guys walk any slower?" Our escort says, rolling her eyes. "Hurry up you two!"
"Sorry," I say in a shaky voice.
Luke picks up the pace, but I still take my time, and when I finally reach the elevator, I push my way to the back of it. Luke stands next to me now, but I choose to ignore him.
"Rain," he whispers. I don't respond at first, so he repeats my name. "Rain?"
"Luke.."
"Will you kill me if we bumped in the arena?" Luke asks. His voice sounds like he caught something in his throat.
"No, of course not.." I say without thinking. I can promise I won't kill him, but the Careers will. I should've never accepted the alliance, but it is my best shot at winning..
Finnick looks over his shoulder, making the two of us go quiet. I glance at Finnick one last time, my hands tingling from the nervous atmosphere.
The elevator comes to an abrupt stop, making me jerk forward. We all exit the elevator, and Luke lets me go first.
We reach a large hangar with a hovercraft waiting for us. Finnick, and our escort all stay behind us, letting us walk to it. They take a different hovercraft to the arena location. I notice other tributes walking towards it as well, but I can't find the Careers anywhere. They're probably already on the hovercraft.
DISTRICT 11: Valerian
6:02AM
"They put everything you need right inside, the mouth of the cornucopia," My mentor advices me. "Take my advice and don't go to the Cornucopia, it's a bloodbath, they're trying to pull you in."
I nod and look straight ahead at my reflection on the glossy elevator walls and he continues, "Going to the cornucopia isn't your game, you turn and run, find high ground and water."
"Okay." I murmur with evident fear in my eyes.
The elevator doors open and we walk out.
DISTRICT 3: Clint
6:04AM
Walking up the ramp of the hovercraft, I take the first seat I find. It's between the girl from District One and the boy from District Two. The boy sits there, his frame too large for the seat, while the girl from One is rather lean. Neither of them looks at me, though, even as I stare at both of them.
A Peacekeeper begins to walk up and down the rows, holding out tribute's arms and gripping them tightly. They shoot the tracker into their arms, some of the tributes yelping while others remain completely silent. The Peacekeeper's first victim is the girl from District Twelve. She seems unfazed by the shot, simply looking away and blinking once. I watch the blue flashing light travel through their arm, and the next person the Peacekeeper goes to is the girl from eleven.
She sits there obediently, and when she catches me watching her, she ignores. I remain expressionless, watching her wince and scream at the needle piercing her arm.
I look around for Sophie, and in the corner of my eye, I spot her. Sophie is at the other end of the hovercraft, the girl from two is staring directly at her.
What if Sophie doesn't make it out of the bloodbath?
What if I don't make it out?
I shake my head.
I can't. I need to survive. I need to win this.
And if that means kill, so be it.
*LAUNCH ROOM: 6:37AM
DISTRICT 5: Atticus
My stylist walks into the room, and I follow her, shaking my head. The doors close behind us, and in the room, there is a table, a locker, and a few hooks. It's a small, metal room, making me feel rather uncomfortable.
"I'd just like to say thank you, for everything you've done for me in my days in the Capitol."
My stylist stands there, her arms at her side, waiting for me to move to the side. "It isn't the time for this, Atticus."
None of this is what I expected.
I didn't expect to be in the Games.
I never even imagined being in the place I am now. I feel the tears in my eyes beginning to fill up, but they don't fall out. They just build up even more. I grab the end of my shirt and try to wipe it off.
"Let's get this outfit on you, shall we?" My stylist says, placing her clipboard on the metal table.
I nod my head, complying as I stand up and walk over to the locker. She takes out an outfit that's covered with a black case, and as she unzips it, I'm eager to see what it's like.
"Here you go," she says, passing me the hanger. It's a dark plum red outfit with maroon cuffs around the neck and ankles and a maroon collar. She places black boots down on the ground and then bows her head and leaves me to it. Picking up the boots, I walk over towards the mirror, examining myself one last time.
DISTRICT 12: Arielle
6:38AM
"Do you know what's brightening up my day?"
"What's that?"
I point to the clock that's ticking down the minutes and seconds until the Games begin. He glances at it, stares at it for a moment, and then glances back down at his clipboard. He rushes over to the locker in the corner of the room, swings it open, and pulls out the outfit I'll be wearing in the arena.
Grabbing the outfit from his hands, I stand there, staring at him. He looks away, and I shake my head, the smirk already on my face growing. Looking at the clock one last time, I decide to put on my clothes. I don't want to waste any more time now.
It feels good to finally come out of my shell. My stylist was completely shocked once he entered the room.
On the clock, there are only a few more minutes remaining until I am supposed to go into the tube to be launched into the arena. Only a few more minutes until I can actually enter the arena.
I'm almost there.
DISTRICT 6: Frederic
6:42AM
Putting on the suit, I zip it up along my chest. It fits comfortably, without being too tight or loose. The boots fit around my feet perfectly, and I tie them tightly. I stand back up, look at myself in the mirror and I let out a sigh.
This is it, I say to myself, staring at my reflection. After this, I'll be in the arena. And once I'm in the arena..
I shake the thoughts out of my head.
I won't think about that now.
DISTRICT 9: Sofia
6:56AM
Turning back around, I face my stylist who's already standing at the tube I have to step in. She holds her hand out to the side, welcoming me into it. I smile at her, but it's a feeble smile. One that doesn't convey emotion or sincerity.
I only smile because I don't know what else to do.
"You're going to be fine." My stylist says, placing both of his hands onto my shoulders. "I know a victor when I see one."
A small smile forms amongst my lips. One that does convey emotion.
"Thank you." I whisper, trying to hold back my tears.
"60 seconds" A voice announces over the speakers.
"Don't cry." My stylist says, grabbing a tissue out of his pocket and wiping the tears off of my face.
DISTRICT 11: Merona
6:59AM
"The outfit is light, no thermals." My stylist explains, "So, I'm guessing either a warm forest, desert, or tropicals."
I nod, the tears well up in my eyes, and I throw myself into my stylist's arms."I'm.. I'm scared."
"Sh.." He says, hugging me.
"30 seconds."
My stylist grabs my hand and I hold it tightly.
DISTRICT 8: Flavia
6:59AM
"Thank you, for everything," I say to my stylist, "The dress you made for me in the interviews wa-"
"Don't." My stylist cuts me off, placing a locket in my hand. "Open it."
I graze my finger along the locket, flicking off some of the rust and open it. Inside is a picture of my mother and my sister, Ellie. Tears begin to emerge on my face as I realise that I might not come home again.
"Win it. For them."
"10 seconds."
DISTRICT 10: Mina
7:00AM
"It's almost time."
Nodding my head, I walk forward, approaching the tube. My stylist stands there, the look of panic on her face, and I try to smile, but I feel my lips trembling. I feel my hands and legs shaking, too. I feel everything shake.
Once I step into that tube, I'm going into the arena.
I'm going where I've always dreaded of going.
I knew that, once I was reaped, the Games were inevitable. But, it didn't feel real until now. It didn't really feel like I was headed off to the Games while I was in training.
I remember what it was like to be in my first Reaping. The two kids pulled out of the group, dragged up to the stage.. It was awful. As the years went on, I saw another two kids, and then another two kids, and so on it went. With each year, I felt myself becoming sadder, but I was too scared to admit it.
I would watch the Games each year, trying to support them. District Ten is known for having Bloodbaths, and every time a tribute from Ten fell, I fell with them. I cried for them. But again, I was too scared of what people would think if I admitted that I cried for them.
I walk up to the tube, stepping into it. My stylist grabs my hand before it closes, and I hold it tightly.
After a few seconds, my stylist lets go of my hand and the tube closes itself off. The plate begins to move upwards, a vibrating sound coming from underneath me. I hold my hands together, clasping them tightly together. The plate moves up and up, eventually stopping abruptly, and I jerk forward, regaining balance on my feet. My eyes widen as I take my first look.
"A forest arena." I mumble to myself.
The Cornucopia has backpacks scattered almost everywhere near it. Some are bigger than others, while some are smaller. They're all different colors too. The weapons however, are right inside the mouth of the Cornucopia.
I dart my eyes around each tribute, trying to locate Colt. I look around the circle of tributes in hopes I find him. To the right of me is the boy from District Twelve and to my left is the girl from District Five.
After a few seconds of looking around, I find him. He's placed next to the girl from Two who's biting her lip and playing with her hands. Colt and I make eye-contact and he gestures to the Cornucopia. Does he want me to go to the Cornucopia with him?
"May this years annual Hunger Games, begin. And may the odds be ever in your favour!" Claudius Templesmith's voice echoes across the whole arena and the countdown begins.
"Ten."
I look over at Colt again, he's still gesturing at the Cornucopia. My sights then fix on the Cornucopia. My weapon of choice, a machete, is situated right inside of the Cornucopia.
"Nine."
A small light blue backpack is placed right in front of me, but I feel like everyone else will be darting for it since it's one of the farthest backpacks away from the Cornucopia..
"Eight."
If I don't go to the Cornucopia, Colt could die since there's no one watching his back. And if I don't go, my chances of survival would be less since I'd have no supplies.
"Seven."
What do I do?!
[Go for the backpack] [Go for the machete] [Run into the forest]

At least this years arena is less likely to kill some tributes. No hypothermia, no heat strokes, just good old-fashioned butchery until only one remains. I don't know if that is good or bad.
"Are you scared?"
Yes. Oh hell, yes! You have no idea how scared I am! What a way to kick off the Pre Games!
"Do you know what's brightening up my day?"
Well, do you know what would brighten up my day? If someone kills this horrible little creature Arielle in the bloodbath! It has to die!
"Win it. For them."
Damn it Flavia, why do you always drag me into a feels trip? Please live, live and win it ;_;
[Go for the machete]
Sure it's risky, but she will need a weapon if she wants to survive. Going without any supplies could be too dangerous and if she goes to the backpack she might be forced to kill some of the weaker tributes, like Merona or Sebastian over it and I really don't want that.

I jump off of the pedestal, immediately running to the Cornucopia. There are two knives crisscrossing on a wooden crate, and as I rip the two of them off of it, I see the boy from District Three wandering around.
He approaches one of the supply crates, this one having a spear placed on it. He goes for it slowly, but he stops at the sound of someone screaming. It's a girl calling his name, and before he can move out of the way or turn around, my knife finds his head.
BOOM!
The boy falls to the side, the end of the knife sticking out from his ear. I grip my other knife, trying to locate where the scream came from, but I don't know. It could've been anyone.
Running over to the boy's body, I pat him down, trying to see if he had gotten ahold of anything yet. There's nothing, though, and with my other hand I rip the spear out of the crate. Rain finally meets up with me, panting from simply running over here from the other side.
"Catch," I say, tossing her the spear. "Don't let me see you standing around. Now, go!"
Rain complies, taking off into a light jog inside of the Cornucopia. I follow her, but nearby, I hear shouts and grunts. To my left is the boy from Ten and the girl from Three fighting over a sleeping bag.
I look to the center of the Cornucopia, hoping I see at least one of the Careers here by now.
In front of me now is the girl from District Ten and Lachlan.
"Lachlan!" I shout, watching him spin around. He turns around quickly, and as he notices the girl that was running right behind him, he swings his backpack. It hits her in the face, knocking her down, and as soon as I expect him to kill her, he doesn't.
He just stands there, gawking at me.
"You're fucking pathetic," I roll my eyes. "I'll do it."
Lachlan goes back to collecting more supplies from the Cornucopia, and I take my knife and grip the girl's head by her hair. The girl struggles to get out of my grip and I pull her head back. She stares at me, her eyes filling up tears, but they don't fall out. They just build up, and in her eyes, I can see that she knew this would happen.
She's weak. She was going to die one way or another.
And, in a way, she should be lucky she's dying in the bloodbath. I'll make it quick and painless.
"Better luck next time, ten." I whisper, brushing her hair back. Swiftly, I drag the blade across her throat, watching the blood begin to waterfall out. "Eh."
BOOM!
I drop her head, hearing it hit the ground with a thud.
And then I see Alexia.
She's standing behind an orange supply crate with an arrow knocked on her bow-string. She holds it up, and I find where she's aiming. The boy from District Four and the boy from District Nine are wrestling over a backpack.
How cute.
Aiming it at the boy from from District Four who is now on top of the boy from Nine, she shoots her first arrow. After the first arrow, it misses Four, completely going right over his head. The boy gets off of the boy from Nine and sprints off into the other side of the Cornucopia.
Alexia then places another arrow on her bow-string and shoots at the boy from Nine as he tries to get up. The arrow pierces through his neck and blood squirts everywhere. He now lays in the middle of chaos, his light brown hair and the grass turning a red shade from the pool of blood underneath him.
BOOM!
After killing the boy from Nine, Alexia bends down, scooping up a backpack. I turn around and see the girl from seven trying to budge out an axe from one of the tree stumps near the Cornucopia.
Now is my chance.
Raising the knife in the air, I take off in a full-sprint towards the center. Just as I reach her, she spins around, catching me in her arms. She falls backwards and I fall on top of her, my knife sliding off to the side. I'm weaponless now, and I start to pull at her hair. I swat her hands away, trying to assert myself, and eventually, I get her arms pinned down. She's not as strong as she appears to be, but I am.
I lean over her face, "Hello, seven."
"It's not going to be that easy," she says, her eyes widening as she speaks. I hesitate for a moment, trying to figure out what she means, but she opens up her mouth again, a facetious expression on her face. "See you later, bitch."
I hear a grunt come from besides me.
Suddenly, a force pushes me off of her, and I roll on the ground, and I try to stop myself. It's the boy from District Seven, Spark, with a sword in his hand. He stands there, his other hand holding Miah's hand, hoisting her up. She puts up her middle finger before she runs away, taking a backpack with her. I scramble to get back up, and I quickly lodge the axe out of the stump, swiftly grabbing it.
But, before I can throw the axe, I see Finnegan.
He stands there, a backpack and a spear in his hand, motionless as Miah and Spark rush by him.
Miah still scrambling to wrap her backpack around her back, and just as they run past him, Spark smashes his sword's handle into the side of Finnegan's mouth. Just as he falls backward, Miah glances over her shoulder, slipping an empty canteen out of the bag. With a quick thrust of her hand, she throws it at his head, both of them escaping before I can get back.
"You fucking idiot! You should've fucking paid attention!" I say, kicking dirt into Finnegan's face. "Now get up and let's do some killing!"
"Argh! Okay! Okay!" He screams, holding his arm in pain as he gets up. "You go that way, and I'll go this way."
I nod and quickly dash to the middle of the Cornucopia, tightly gripping my axe, ready to find my next target. I finally got rid of those crusty throwing knives. Ah, it feels good to hold an axe at last!
I scan the tributes around the Cornucopia. The boy from Five is searching through a crate, far away from where all the action is going on. The boy from Eight is grabbing supplies inside the Cornucopia, trying to grab a weapon. The girl from Nine is fighting the boy from Six over a large supply crate on the left side of the Cornucopia.
Who should Vivienne try and kill?
[Boy from Five] [Boy from Eight] [Interfere the fight with the girl from Nine and boy from Six]

DISTRICT 2: Vivienne
"One."
BANG!
I jump off of the pedestal, immediately running to the Cornucopia. There… more are two knives crisscrossing on a wooden crate, and as I rip the two of them off of it, I see the boy from District Three wandering around.
Rain finally meets up with me… [view original content]
Oh god no! I was not ready for that... RIP Clint, Mina and Pedro Especially sorry for Mina, she was cool and it was partially my fault. But if she would have killed some of the other tributes over that stupid backpack it would have been even worse.
[Boy from Eight]
Interfering in the fight between Sofia and Frederic could deprive Arielle of the only target that stands between her and Flavia, as well as giving Vivienne two targets instead of one. And I'm obviously not going to target Atticus. I'm so sorry Gustav

R.I.P. Clint, Mina and Pedro. [Interfere with the fight with the girl from Nine and the boy from six] Because that doesn't directly mean a kill. I'm interested to see what happened to Arielle through all this.

Hey, if anyone wants something else to do, I've got a fan fiction going. It didn't get much of a following though. Maybe you could help?

Man... I love the way you wrote Arielle. She's so scary
Aw... Arielle got a 7. I was hoping she'd come off a bit more threatening than that.
Starting the pre games now!

PRE GAMES
DISTRICT 7: Spark
5:28AM
"Are you scared?"
[Go for the machete] Making her a target.
[Run into the forest] Fuck Colt! Running to the cornucopia could be the end of her and this part just made me like Mina even more. I'm not gonna force anyone's death with my votes yet
And omg... The feels... IM NOT READY FOR THE GAMES
The bloodbath is up next! Anyone excited?
At least this years arena is less likely to kill some tributes. No hypothermia, no heat strokes, just good old-fashioned butchery until only one remains. I don't know if that is good or bad.
Yes. Oh hell, yes! You have no idea how scared I am! What a way to kick off the Pre Games!
Well, do you know what would brighten up my day? If someone kills this horrible little creature Arielle in the bloodbath! It has to die!
Damn it Flavia, why do you always drag me into a feels trip? Please live, live and win it ;_;
[Go for the machete]
Sure it's risky, but she will need a weapon if she wants to survive. Going without any supplies could be too dangerous and if she goes to the backpack she might be forced to kill some of the weaker tributes, like Merona or Sebastian over it and I really don't want that.
Yes, I don't want all my tributes to die in the bloodbath
You have an odd way of spelling the word 'scared'
Here, fixed that for you. And my answer is 'Yes' ;_;
[Go for the backpack]
[Go for the machete]
NO IM NOT EXCITED IM SO SCARED I DONT WANT ANYONE TO DIE!!! UGH
I feel so attached to every character it's gonna be so sad
[Go for the MACHETE] I changed it, like liquid said, someone like Merona or Sebastian could try to get that and she'd surely beat them.
The first part of the bloodbath is finished.. It'll be up in 5 minutes. >:3
Change of plans, I think I'll wait another hour or two to see if anyone else wants to vote.
The hype is unreal you don't even know oh my god.
[Go for machete] THIS IS HAPPENING
I changed my vote
[Run, you fools!]
THE BLOODBATH: PART 1
DISTRICT 2: Vivienne
"One."
BANG!
I jump off of the pedestal, immediately running to the Cornucopia.
R.I.P
24TH: CLINT, DISTRICT 3
23RD: MINA, DISTRICT 10
22ND: PEDRO, DISTRICT 9
Woah.
[Boy from 8] At least Merona is alive. I feel like a complete dick now killing off Mina though.
Oh, hey ayylmao, You should go put all the characters in the list in bold, and then unbold them as they get killed.
NOOOO OMGGG YOU GUYS KILLED MINA RIP CLINT, MINA, AND PEDRO. I DIDNT EXPECT THAT.
[Boy from Eight] sorry gustav.
Fuck Alexia and Vivienne I fucking hate them. Fucking fuckers fuck.
[Boy from Eight]
RIP PEOPLE
Thanks for the idea! Just did it now
Hey, if anyone wants something else to do, I've got a fan fiction going. It didn't get much of a following though. Maybe you could help?
