Oh Flavia my dear, what have I done? Perhaps a 9 is enough to survive an encounter with Arielle? A man can only hope. But still, regardless of the outcome of the bloodbath, Flavia is awesome and not even Arielle can change that.

Suddenly, I remember that I'm about to stand in front of a whole crowd of judgmental people and answer questions in such a way that will either help me or hurt me in the Games. I begin chewing my nails as a nervous habit, only to have a rubber band snap on my hand by my stylist. I glare in her direction, though I'm not really focusing on her, but instead on what my angle needs to be, and how I must portray myself in front of the audience. The Interviews are huge in the Games, but I just can't come up with a way I want to present myself. This is mostly because of my scrambled thoughts, though.
Now that I'm shining and cleaner than I ever have been before, there is yet more to be done to me. They start fixing up the curls in my hair with some weird, hot metal thing. I think back to what my mentor told me to say at the interviews.
He knows that right away the announcer will inquire about my family and friends, so I'm supposed to tell him about everything. I don't know why, but I feel resistant in wanting to tell so many people this. I expect it's because if I accidentally say or do anything that angers the Capitol, then they'll be sure to make me suffer in the arena.
I've been scolded over and over by our mentor thinking, and speaking, like that, but the thoughts refuse to leave my mind. He's also advised me to make the wide-eyed Capitol citizens feel sorry for me. Have them pity me But if I pull something like that, the Careers will see me as weak, and annoying.
I hate him for telling me to do such a thing, but he knows what he's talking about. If they feel sorry for me, then I will get sponsors. It's as simple as that. Or so he says. What if I begin to yell, or burst into tears? Or even worse.. What if the Careers kick me out of the alliance for what I'll say?! I push the thoughts away as I get pushed. Since my stylist still won't talk to me, she must think that almost shoving me off of the ornate chair I'm on to get my attention is a good idea. I flail my arms for a second before regaining my balance to stare into the small mirror poised in front of my face.
My stylist and her shiny minions have finished masking my face with makeup and perfecting my long, silky hair so that it cascades gracefully around my shoulders. My face looks like someone else's, especially my eyes, which are carefully done up so that they give the illusion of molten gems. I am somehow pleased with how I look, though maybe that's just because of the chemicals the stylist had mentioned earlier. Before I can think about what I'm about to do, the head stylist, Anelia rushes through the door with a shocked look on her face.
"What have you savages done?!" Anelia exclaims, placing her hands onto my face. "This face is going to be broadcasted to the whole world in a few minutes! It's not some bloody cave painting!"
I thought they did a good job on my makeup but, whatever Anelia says goes I guess.
"We're sorry, we thought we were doing a good job." A male stylist says, stepping up.
"Just scoot." Anelia orders with an angry tone embedded in her voice, snatching the brushes from each stylist's hand. They both obey and start to exit the room with their heads down.
"Thank you!" I yell out to the stylists as they make an exit. Anelia is being too harsh, they did a pretty good job..
"Don't worry Rain, we are going to make this work." Anelia sighs, rubbing the makeup off of my face with a damp cloth, "Once we fix this mess."
DISTRICT 8: Flavia
Bright yellow. My entire outfit is yellow. I always wore black then. The dress that I'm wearing is the exact same one that Ellie wore at the reapings. It's larger, but I don't feel comfortable wearing this.
"Is there a reason I'm wearing this?" I ask as my stylist, Lovus, straightens out my collar.
"I saw your reaping tape, and it moved everyone when you stepped up for your sister," she explains, stepping back for examination. "It gives a powerful message."
I nod and begin to stare at my reflection in the mirror. *
"Well, I guess we're done." Lovus says, "Time to go then!"
I open the door and Lovus invites herself out first without thanking me. I follow her out and down the hall to the elevator. Gustav joins in the elevator and stands next to his stylist in a short sleeveless purple tuxedo. Not gonna lie, but he looks good looking and dangerous, hopefully his outfit makes the Capitol forget about his score. Our mentor and our escort, Linnie look over my outfit. They're both a little bit disappointed, though Linnie tries to hide it. Our mentor is just frowning at me.
When the doors to the elevator open, I see Peacekeepers and Capitol folk ushering tributes into a single-file line. Gustav and I take our place in between the tributes from nine. Then, we are paraded onto the stage. I take my seat in the arc surrounding center stage where Caesar Flickerman is standing. His hair, eyelids, and lips are cyan blue and stand out against his pure whit makeup, his suit is the same midnight blue.
DISTRICT 9: Sofia
I can't believe that I'm here. It's so surreal, sitting on this stage before an audience of strangely dressed people. They look at me as if I'm the strange one – unaltered, backwards, and unlearned in there eyes. Their skin is so bright and unusual it takes me a moment not to instantly think that their skin is conveying some sickness or disease they have. Their bright plumage, their tight dresses.. The absolute extravagance of their looks, one ring from any of their's fingers could feed my family for a year. And yet, we are the entertainment, untainted by their gold but forced to fight to the death for their own pleasure.
Can't they see what they're doing to us? Do they care? Or are they so warped and changed inside that nothing makes an impression on them anymore? Why don't they think of us as their children? Or do they even care for them?
I don't know. I'm afraid to find out, but there is some part of me that is sure that there is some good in them somewhere. Maybe it's so deep down that they don't even know it themselves. Maybe they'll see something in one of us this year. Maybe they'll come to their senses and stop this senseless killing. But even as I think it, I know they won't. Twenty three of us will die over the next days. Our blood will stain the ground, and soon, the place we die in will become a tourist site. They'll visit where we die, remember and enact it like it's noble deaths, as if it's not real.
But it is real. We are real, and soon we will be fading. And the one of us that survives…will it be really worth living?
If I come out of this, how many will I have killed? Will the blood wash off my hands? And if I make it through the games, how many will I kill for nothing? My scorings can't save me in this interview.. Or can it?
I shake the thoughts out of my head, I have to stop getting distracted.
About 15 minutes later, the male from District Eight is up. This means I'm next. I need to try and stay calm, interviews only last for three minutes. I can do this.. I just need to figure out what angle I'll be playing before I'm up..

District two female: Dressed in a long fiery golden dress that went down to her ankles. Talked about how it's a pleasure to finally take part in the Games and came across as flirty and cheeky. A lot of people placed their bets on her and craved for more of the District two tributes.
District two male: Wore a golden, silk tuxedo. Large, strong, and sexy! The crowd went crazy for him as he constantly complimented the Capitol, and mentioned how he's not going by choice.
District three female: Dressed in a short yellow dress that reaches to her knees. Talked about her parents being the reason she volunteered and how God will hopefully protect her in the arena. The crowd started getting a little bit teary eyed!
District three male: Wore a bright yellow body cape that cascades down to the floor. Complete charmer! Talked about how he has a special someone back at home. The crowd went crazy and craved for more! Unfortunately, his interview timer was up to continue his story about the 'special someone.'
District four female: Her lush blonde hair was curled up, cascading onto her shoulders. Wore a blue Caribbean see through dress. Talked about her alliance with the Careers and how she's willing to do anything necessary to survive. The crowd awed at her makeup, and loved how calm she was throughout the interview.
District four male: Wore a long white v neck along with a necklace of teethes of different sea sharks. Talked about his family life back at home and how he spent his spare time back in four. Failed to make an impression as the crowd was quite bored.
District five female: Dressed in a sparkly silver, long sleeved dress that descended to the ground and sharp white eyeliner. Her hair was neatly put into two side buns. Was a bit camera shy but managed to complete the interview with Caesar's help.
District five male Wore a sparkly silver turtle neck. Was very charming, sneaky, and cheeky throughout the whole interview. Talked about the life in the Capitol and how he plans to try and win the Games. Made an okay impression.
District six female: Her hair was easily slicked back behind her ears and wore a white strand of platinum gold in her hair. Dressed in a beautiful navy blue mini dress. When Caesar asked her what her strategies were to win the games, she replied with, "You'll just have to wait and see."
District six male: Wore a navy blue robe that descends down onto the floor. Was a bit lost throughout the interview and tried cracking a few jokes but sadly, the Capitol didn't find his sense of humour funny.
District seven female: Dressed in a dark green luminous dress with bark brown silk that hangs from the neck of the dress. Her sarcastic, naughty, and snarky attitude managed to make a few people in the crowd place their bets on her. But, not a lot of people were convinced due to her low score.
District seven male: Wore a light green tuxedo with a red leaf hanging from his top pocket. Humorous, intelligent, and cute. Managed to make a good impression and answered all of Caesar's questions with flourish! Made a superb first impression.
District eight female: Dressed in a bright yellow dress that reaches down to her knees. The crowd starts tearing up at the sight of the dress as they realise that it's the same exact one her sister wore during the reapings. Talked about her sister and mother and gives a special message through the camera to them saying that she's gonna try and win for them.
District eight male: Dressed in a bright purple tuxedo with a light purple bow tie. Charming, cute, and overall, good looking. Talked about his low score and said that it doesn't mean anything and promises that he's going to give them a good show.
District nine female: Dressed in a low toned yellow dress with wheat covering the middle part of the dress. Her hair was settled into two braids. Looked uncomfortable throughout the interview but managed to come off as a bit of a flirt. The audience was impressed with her stylists choice in outfit but not with her personality.
District nine male: Wore a low toned yellow suit. Talked about how he used to love his District partner, Sofia but it's not the right place to fall in love. The crowd awed and gave him a standing ovation.
District ten female: Wore a puffy black wool coat with sharp black eyeliner. Seemed ruthless, cold, but desirable. Only replied to questions with a simple "Yes" or "No".
District ten male: Wore a puffy white wool coat with sharp white eyeliner. Talked about his scores and how they're just a number and that it doesn't mean anything in the Games, also asked the audience not to count him out just yet.
District eleven female: Dressed in a cute maroon dress that reaches down to her needs along with a floral crown placed on her head. When Caesar asked her on what her strengths are she replied with, "I'm really fast, and if they can't catch me. They can't kill me."
Definitely a Capitol favourite due to her cuteness.
District eleven male: Wore a maroon shirt and tie along with a crown of thorns placed on his head. Talked about his family back in eleven and what kind of jobs he used to do and how him and his District partner weren't the best pair. Overall, he made a good impression.
District twelve female: Wore a baby blue dress that sparkled when the lights shined on her. Talked about her dad and how her dad used to beat her, and how she lost her eye because of him. The crowd got teary eyed and made a standing ovation for her.

Thanks :') I certainly hope that she survives too, but I have a very bad feeling. I don't even think the careers are that much of a danger to her. Yay! This is sorta how I predicted. P.S does anyone else think Kyva is hiding her skills? Because 1. She said she'd prefer not to show her strengths in her POV. 2. She did nothing in front of the Gamemakers and 3. Even Arielle thinks she's intelligent but has no clue if she's good with a weapon.

Well... Atticus is Mehticus now, I guess. But he's still more clever than some of the other tributes. If he survives the bloodbath he could make it far. With very strong emphasis on the 'If' and the 'could'.

Ouch! Poor Gustav and Colt, say goodbye to your sponsors. But at least the careers won't target them directly in the bloodbath now. Instead I guess they will target Sophia, Spark, Mina and oh, wow, Flavia again. Perhaps she should have pissed off the gamemakers and insulted Snow's mother to bring her chances of surviving the bloodbath even closer to zero :'D

THE INTERVIEWS: PART 1
DISTRICT 4: Rain
"Wake up, Rain! The drugs aren't that strong!"
"For God's sake! I'm awake!" I say with an angry glare. "Did you swallow a squeaker toy, or is that really how your voice sounds?"
Instead of continuing, like she was going to, my comment stopped her dead in her tracks. If I wasn't trying to keep my angry composure, my face might look as surprised as hers, as I never talk that way to anyone. It must be from the thoughts that I'm trying to shove away from my blackout.
Quietly, she resumes methodically brushing out my lengthy blonde curls, while other Capitol citizens are picking away at my nails and plucking my eyebrows mercilessly. It bothers me that we have to be made up in such a fake way for interviews. I suppose it's to look "put together".
Suddenly, I remember that I'm about to stand in front of a whole crowd of judgmental people and answer questions in such a way that will either help me or hurt me in the Games. I begin chewing my nails as a nervous habit, only to have a rubber band snap on my hand by my stylist. I glare in her direction, though I'm not really focusing on her, but instead on what my angle needs to be, and how I must portray myself in front of the audience. The Interviews are huge in the Games, but I just can't come up with a way I want to present myself. This is mostly because of my scrambled thoughts, though.
Now that I'm shining and cleaner than I ever have been before, there is yet more to be done to me. They start fixing up the curls in my hair with some weird, hot metal thing. I think back to what my mentor told me to say at the interviews.
He knows that right away the announcer will inquire about my family and friends, so I'm supposed to tell him about everything. I don't know why, but I feel resistant in wanting to tell so many people this. I expect it's because if I accidentally say or do anything that angers the Capitol, then they'll be sure to make me suffer in the arena.
I've been scolded over and over by our mentor thinking, and speaking, like that, but the thoughts refuse to leave my mind. He's also advised me to make the wide-eyed Capitol citizens feel sorry for me. Have them pity me But if I pull something like that, the Careers will see me as weak, and annoying.
I hate him for telling me to do such a thing, but he knows what he's talking about. If they feel sorry for me, then I will get sponsors. It's as simple as that. Or so he says. What if I begin to yell, or burst into tears? Or even worse.. What if the Careers kick me out of the alliance for what I'll say?! I push the thoughts away as I get pushed. Since my stylist still won't talk to me, she must think that almost shoving me off of the ornate chair I'm on to get my attention is a good idea. I flail my arms for a second before regaining my balance to stare into the small mirror poised in front of my face.
My stylist and her shiny minions have finished masking my face with makeup and perfecting my long, silky hair so that it cascades gracefully around my shoulders. My face looks like someone else's, especially my eyes, which are carefully done up so that they give the illusion of molten gems. I am somehow pleased with how I look, though maybe that's just because of the chemicals the stylist had mentioned earlier. Before I can think about what I'm about to do, the head stylist, Anelia rushes through the door with a shocked look on her face.
"What have you savages done?!" Anelia exclaims, placing her hands onto my face. "This face is going to be broadcasted to the whole world in a few minutes! It's not some bloody cave painting!"
I thought they did a good job on my makeup but, whatever Anelia says goes I guess.
"We're sorry, we thought we were doing a good job." A male stylist says, stepping up.
"Just scoot." Anelia orders with an angry tone embedded in her voice, snatching the brushes from each stylist's hand. They both obey and start to exit the room with their heads down.
"Thank you!" I yell out to the stylists as they make an exit. Anelia is being too harsh, they did a pretty good job..
"Don't worry Rain, we are going to make this work." Anelia sighs, rubbing the makeup off of my face with a damp cloth, "Once we fix this mess."
DISTRICT 8: Flavia
Bright yellow. My entire outfit is yellow. I always wore black then. The dress that I'm wearing is the exact same one that Ellie wore at the reapings. It's larger, but I don't feel comfortable wearing this.
"Is there a reason I'm wearing this?" I ask as my stylist, Lovus, straightens out my collar.
"I saw your reaping tape, and it moved everyone when you stepped up for your sister," she explains, stepping back for examination. "It gives a powerful message."
I nod and begin to stare at my reflection in the mirror. *
"Well, I guess we're done." Lovus says, "Time to go then!"
I open the door and Lovus invites herself out first without thanking me. I follow her out and down the hall to the elevator. Gustav joins in the elevator and stands next to his stylist in a short sleeveless purple tuxedo. Not gonna lie, but he looks good looking and dangerous, hopefully his outfit makes the Capitol forget about his score. Our mentor and our escort, Linnie look over my outfit. They're both a little bit disappointed, though Linnie tries to hide it. Our mentor is just frowning at me.
When the doors to the elevator open, I see Peacekeepers and Capitol folk ushering tributes into a single-file line. Gustav and I take our place in between the tributes from nine. Then, we are paraded onto the stage. I take my seat in the arc surrounding center stage where Caesar Flickerman is standing. His hair, eyelids, and lips are cyan blue and stand out against his pure whit makeup, his suit is the same midnight blue.
DISTRICT 9: Sofia
I can't believe that I'm here. It's so surreal, sitting on this stage before an audience of strangely dressed people. They look at me as if I'm the strange one – unaltered, backwards, and unlearned in there eyes. Their skin is so bright and unusual it takes me a moment not to instantly think that their skin is conveying some sickness or disease they have. Their bright plumage, their tight dresses.. The absolute extravagance of their looks, one ring from any of their's fingers could feed my family for a year. And yet, we are the entertainment, untainted by their gold but forced to fight to the death for their own pleasure.
Can't they see what they're doing to us? Do they care? Or are they so warped and changed inside that nothing makes an impression on them anymore? Why don't they think of us as their children? Or do they even care for them?
I don't know. I'm afraid to find out, but there is some part of me that is sure that there is some good in them somewhere. Maybe it's so deep down that they don't even know it themselves. Maybe they'll see something in one of us this year. Maybe they'll come to their senses and stop this senseless killing. But even as I think it, I know they won't. Twenty three of us will die over the next days. Our blood will stain the ground, and soon, the place we die in will become a tourist site. They'll visit where we die, remember and enact it like it's noble deaths, as if it's not real.
But it is real. We are real, and soon we will be fading. And the one of us that survives…will it be really worth living?
If I come out of this, how many will I have killed? Will the blood wash off my hands? And if I make it through the games, how many will I kill for nothing? My scorings can't save me in this interview.. Or can it?
I shake the thoughts out of my head, I have to stop getting distracted.
About 15 minutes later, the male from District Eight is up. This means I'm next. I need to try and stay calm, interviews only last for three minutes. I can do this.. I just need to figure out what angle I'll be playing before I'm up..

District four female: Her lush blonde hair was curled up, cascading onto her shoulders. Wore a blue Caribbean see through dress. Talked about her alliance with the Careers and how she's willing to do anything necessary to survive. The crowd awed at her makeup, and loved how calm she was throughout the interview.
District four male: Wore a long white v neck along with a necklace of teethes of different sea sharks. Talked about his family life back at home and how he spent his spare time back in four. Failed to make an impression as the crowd was quite bored.
District five female: Dressed in a sparkly silver, long sleeved dress that descended to the ground and sharp white eyeliner. Her hair was neatly put into two side buns. Was a bit camera shy but managed to complete the interview with Caesar's help.
District five male Wore a sparkly silver turtle neck. Was very charming, sneaky, and cheeky throughout the whole interview. Talked about the life in the Capitol and how he plans to try and win the Games. Made an okay impression.
District six female: Her hair was easily slicked back behind her ears and wore a white strand of platinum gold in her hair. Dressed in a beautiful navy blue mini dress. When Caesar asked her what her strategies were to win the games, she replied with, "You'll just have to wait and see."
District six male: Wore a navy blue robe that descends down onto the floor. Was a bit lost throughout the interview and tried cracking a few jokes but sadly, the Capitol didn't find his sense of humour funny.
District seven female: Dressed in a dark green luminous dress with bark brown silk that hangs from the neck of the dress. Her sarcastic, naughty, and snarky attitude managed to make a few people in the crowd place their bets on her. But, not a lot of people were convinced due to her low score.
District seven male: Wore a light green tuxedo with a red leaf hanging from his top pocket. Humorous, intelligent, and cute. Managed to make a good impression and answered all of Caesar's questions with flourish! Made a superb first impression.
District eight female: Dressed in a bright yellow dress that reaches down to her knees. The crowd starts tearing up at the sight of the dress as they realise that it's the same exact one her sister wore during the reapings. Talked about her sister and mother and gives a special message through the camera to them saying that she's gonna try and win for them.
District eight male: Dressed in a bright purple tuxedo with a light purple bow tie. Charming, cute, and overall, good looking. Talked about his low score and said that it doesn't mean anything and promises that he's going to give them a good show.
District nine female: Dressed in a low toned yellow dress with wheat covering the middle part of the dress. Her hair was settled into two braids. Looked uncomfortable throughout the interview but managed to come off as a bit of a flirt. The audience was impressed with her stylists choice in outfit but not with her personality.
District nine male: Wore a low toned yellow suit. Talked about how he used to love his District partner, Sofia but it's not the right place to fall in love. The crowd awed and gave him a standing ovation.
District ten female: Wore a puffy black wool coat with sharp black eyeliner. Seemed ruthless, cold, but desirable. Only replied to questions with a simple "Yes" or "No".
District ten male: Wore a puffy white wool coat with sharp white eyeliner. Talked about his scores and how they're just a number and that it doesn't mean anything in the Games, also asked the audience not to count him out just yet.
District eleven female: Dressed in a cute maroon dress that reaches down to her needs along with a floral crown placed on her head. When Caesar asked her on what her strengths are she replied with, "I'm really fast, and if they can't catch me. They can't kill me."
Definitely a Capitol favourite due to her cuteness.
District eleven male: Wore a maroon shirt and tie along with a crown of thorns placed on his head. Talked about his family back in eleven and what kind of jobs he used to do and how him and his District partner weren't the best pair. Overall, he made a good impression.
District twelve female: Wore a baby blue dress that sparkled when the lights shined on her. Talked about her dad and how her dad used to beat her, and how she lost her eye because of him. The crowd got teary eyed and made a standing ovation for her.
District twelve male: Wore a black turtle neck that also sparkled when the lights shined on him. Came off as a bit awkward, but charming. If he was more comfortable he would've definitely been a favourite.
So. Much. Regret. God, what have I done.
God, how exactly does that sociopathic little monster manage to trick simply everyone into liking her? Someone, and with that someone I mean Flavia, has to put a sword right through her throat.
