I honestly chose Kenny all the way. I personally did not like Jane's constant badgering about the group. I, like Kenny, thought she killed AJ and didn't pick up the gun. I admit that I have a soft spot for Kenny, but I knew he was going down a dark path. His actions were not justified, but I would've somewhat agreed with him if I was in the ZA.
I trust Kenny. I stayed with him throughout, now I just hope they make this choice I made a bigger part of season 3 than they have with other determinant choices in the series.
I liked Jane from the start. She always looked out for my Clem and Kenny has always been kind of an a-hole with my Lee on season 1 but he did help me find Clem at the end.
So this was kind of a hard choice for me since a) I liked Jane and b) Kenny seems kinder to Clem this season (he's still a dick when I disagree but he won't let anyone help him unless it's Clem so there's that.)
In the end, I took out Kenny and went out with Jane coz I just wanted to see their ending together, but I plan to redo it because Kenny wouldn't have done anything like that if Jane had not started her messed up plan. (yeah, its been bugging me with guilt all night. Suddenly forgiving Jane feels wrong.)
Agreed, that's how I see it. I see it as everyone trying to conspire against the ways of a man taking it particularly hard, while in the end he's the one that was there for her and tried to be the most unselfish with her company (example being him asking her to stay at Wellington while admitting that he didn't want to lose her, he knew it was best). All anyone else ever wanted from Clementine was for her to be in their group because she was competent. Jane and Kenny both use her as a replacement for their lost families, and both were at least there with her until the end, unlike everyone else.
Everything in this game was trying to push me away from Kenny and make him seem worse than he actually was and get me scared of him...
Ev… moreeryone talked badly about him behind his back when he lost Sarita. Luke was saying that he was broken, Jane started giving me the spiel about how Its time I start thinking about how much Kenny is worth and that he is going to get me killed. Bonnie was telling me to think about what I want and that Kenny was losing it, Mike was saying that we have to get away from Kenny while Arvo was calling him the devil in russian.
They were all trying to get in my head and make me want to leave him when in reality half of the group ended up deserting Clem and Kenny was the only one who truly cared about me.
The option to shoot him.. then that damn Wellington ending when he begged me to stay at wellington.. In the moment its really hard to stick it out with Kenny until the end. But I chose the ending where i leave… [view original content]
Killing Larry was not a "dick move", he was a piece of shit and if anyone is a "dick" it's Larry. He was gonna do the same exact thing to Duck, a little boy who they could easily handle if he turned into a walker, and they were in a huge pharmacy not a small space like the meat locker. And he tried to kill Lee and promised to kill Lee with no hesitation if he thought he would turn, and he just caused so many unnecessary drama and problems within the group, you know how old people are, they're a fucking burden now, especially with the problems they have and they would be even worse in a ZA. Why does scum like Larry deserve saving? What is the purpose of keeping him around? He got exactly what he deserved.
yeah i know, but the other times, him agreeing with Clem just feels... misplaced, letting Clem go with the baby seems like something Kenny w… moreould never do, atleast not without a very heated discussion, and the "just do it" shooting in the head, was probably just because he couldnt do it himself, which he already stated back in s1 ep5. The killing Larry thing was a dick move, but he did it with good intentions, he should have waited a little longer, but there was no one, who could know if he would survive or die. The implying to let Ben die, was an asshole move, But if he had killed my wife and child, i think i would be kinda pissed too. Theres a big difference between those two things, and killing an (arguably) okay person, of what Kenny (at the time) knew was an accident, im not saying what Jane did was right, that was a physcho move, but getting killed for it is not right, so even though i love Kenny a LOT!!! more than i like Jane, i chose t… [view original content]
You sound like a real dumbass if you let Lily stay with you after she just murdered someone in your group out of anger, how could you stay and trust someone after that? And I bet you didn't mind when she just completely betrayed and abandoned by stealing the RV leaving all of you stranded. And killing Larry isn't being a "d-bag", he was scum and deserved worse, he's lucky he got a quick, painless death.
My Clem would've shot Kenny in a heartbeat. My Lee never got along with Kenny at all. Kenny was nothing but a jerk to my Lee from the start … morebecause he tried to save Hershel's son instead of Kenny's brat (a 20-something man is far more useful in the apocalypse then a mentally limited schoolboy..) My Lee also wasn't a d-bag, so he didn't kill Larry, he didn't abandon Lilly, and he didn't drop Ben to his death. So, Kenny refused to help my Lee search for Clem, after some BS about being a Christian man, blah, blah.
Anyway, my Clem therefore had no reason to like Kenny at all. She didn't hug him, she didn't sit with him, she never took his side, and she never said she trusted him or believed him about anything. Oh, and she definitely never forgave him for being such an a-hole about the whole Sarita thing. Basically, Kenny's resurrection ruined Season 2 for me. The game never really acknowledged any of my choices except for some bit where Kenny … [view original content]

I think that we should be able to create our own protagonist, give them a name, have the voice actors voice a bunch of different names so you can choose from them. Have your character pick an age, and outfit and a personality. It would be a lot of work but it would be totally worth it
TL:DR version: People are entitled to their own opinion, but I believe that you shouldn't kill Kenny and that Clementine should be the Seaso… moren 3 protagonist.
I agree with the first half of that I love Kenny and also think he is the right choice, but not so sure about the second half.I have nothing against and will still buy it if Clementine is the protagonist, but I would prefer a new protagonist. Like you said just my opinion though. :P
I didn't want either of them to die. Just wanted them to swallow their pride and try and work together. Jane holstered her knife saying "don't come near me you son of a bitch." Then a sneak attack from Kenny. I pull Jane off of Kenny, he stabs her in the leg. But the thing that got me was the "god damn it" she shouted, the "I knew you would", and the "Clem... help..." Jane could've let up, Kenny couldn't.
I chose to have Clem let Jane die and then kill Kenny. Here's my reasoning:
I REALLY liked Janes character throughout the series........up until that last episode. The way she was trying to press EVERY STINKING BUTTON with Kenny while they were driving in the truck (talking about his kid, about Sarita, etc) immediately made me turn against her
I've liked Kenny throughout the series, but he was at the point where he was constantly on a knifes-edge between sanity and madness. While I sided with him about Arvo (couldn't stand that guy and wished they had killed him) I felt like Kenny had no middle ground anymore, it was all extreme (happiness or sorrow/anger)
plus, both Kenny and Jane were constantly trying to manipulate situations and get Clem to go along. I felt like Clem needed to let go of both of them, clean slate it and start fresh.
Personally I hated the whole introduction of a baby into the mix. If you have a safe, long-term shelter with food, ok, baby-away! But if you're constantly on the move and scavenging, no way I'm keeping the baby, I'd probably throw it at a walker as a distraction while I make my escape.
I'm not sure how Telltale can tie so many different endings together into Season 3, will be interesting to see what they wind up doing.
2 Me too , he was very frustrated that everyone he loved dies en there was Jane trying to manipulate Clem in leaving Kenny, how would you feel (remember its a Z-A and everybody is dead)

Difficult decision to be certain, but I thought Jane's violence and rhetoric too calculated and her "plan" too cruel. Take a man beaten to nothing and knock out the only peg he's got left from beneath him. What would you expect of any person. Hell, what would you expect of any parent upon being faced with the person that has lost/killed their child? For many, it would very nearly come to that. So ultimately, I found the situation a bit forced on Jane's part. Liked her, but, a serious lack of empathy on her part.
And remember that Sarita's death occurred just 2 days prior to the Kenny-Jane fiasco. 2 days usually isn't enough for someone to get over the death of a loved one. Kenny was still in the midst of grieving when the shit hit the fan, if they waited a few more days, he would've been better.
Edit: I've just realized my grave mistake; the player can choose to stay at Parker's Run for a few days, negating this argument.
1 I thought the same thing so i let Kenny win
2 Me too , he was very frustrated that everyone he loved dies en there was Jane trying to manipulate Clem in leaving Kenny, how would you feel (remember its a Z-A and everybody is dead)
I see Kenny as embodying a more honest and direct reaction to the changes that have happened to the world. I think many of the other characters are in denial to some degree -- evidenced by the scene where they are passing around that bottle of booze, chatting and trying to distract themselves from the harshness reality. Kenny chooses not to join in out of respect for the loss -- and I think this describes him as a whole.
That is actually a very well explained opinion, but i still have to disagree with it. What Jane did was wrong, and as much as i love Kenny i… more couldnt let him kill an innocent person, so in my mind, killing Kenny stopped him from becoming a murderer, he even tells you that you made the Right choice if you kill him, but thats just My opinion
From a purely pragmatic stand point, if the adult is still able to produce children the adult is the better choice because they are also able (hopefully at this point) to fend for themselves.
I smelled that rat a mile away. I knew she was up to something but I do not think she was trying to get Clem to, specifically, shoot Kenny. She just wanted Clem to see Kenny the way she did and I think that is as far as she thought it through.
I didn't even think Jane was trying to manipulate me, as soon as Kenny left and she told me not to get involved I thought, oh the baby is alive, and I shot Kenny anyway.
Thread: Analysis: Kenny and Jane fight.
SPOILERS Edit: Added Jane's dialogue after the fight and my thoughts on them 9-2-14
Edit: A… moredded a "Other thoughts" section 9-7-14, which I might update again at some time.
Ok, so I want to give my analysis on the choice that has caused so much debate in episode 5. Whether to kill Kenny or look away and let Kenny kill Jane.
I want to approach this on a morally objective viewpoint. So my choice will not be based upon an emotional bias of liking/disliking Kenny/Jane over the other. My analysis will be limited to just the fight scene and the scene with AJ in the car shortly after the fight ends. So let's begin...
When Jane comes back without the baby it becomes clear to both Kenny and Clementine that something has happened to the baby. Kenny is in denial that the baby is dead so he leaves to find the baby. It's at this point that Jane says something that is vital to our final decision.

I let Kenny kill Jane, even if I really liked her. I had guessed about the baby when she told me "Trust me" and "Stay away from that" (I don't remember the exact words). In the end, when Kenny was about to kill her, I was waiting for Jane to say "He's alive !" or something like that. If Kenny hadn't stop trying to kill her after that, I would have killed him, but she never told the truth. I was really sad when she died however. I didn't regret my choice though.
I think both of them were right about the other. Kenny is dangerous, Jane is selfish. We know that before Kenny/Jane scene happens, with Kenny's violence and Jane's tendance to abandon people. We also know there is good in both of them. But Jane and Kenny can't stand each other, that's obvious one day there will be a clash, they would better separate for everybody's sake. Jane knew it, but she didn't want to leave Clem. She could just have come back with the baby, and tell Kenny it would be better to separate, to avoid some fight one day. Kenny would agree with that. He would want to keep the baby and Jane would agree with that too. They both would like Clem to come with them, but Clem is old enough to choose. Maybe Jane thought about this solution and was afraid Clem chose Kenny.
When she hid the baby, she was pretty sure Kenny was going to become crazy and try to kill her, but not completely sure. If he hadn't, she would have think she was wrong about him and would probably have apologized, hoping they forgive her for hiding the baby. No need to separate from him if he's less dangerous than she thought, so she would have stayed with them after. But when he tried to kill her, she thought she was right about him and she became so angry that she wanted him dead too. Then the only thing she (and Kenny) was seeing was the fight, nothing else was counting for both of them at that moment except killing the other. That's probably why she didn't mention the baby. She could just think about asking for help because she didn't want to die.
But she knew that could happen, as she knew Kenny would probably try to kill her and may win. She still chooses to provoke him even if she knows he's dangerous and could try to kill her. And above all, she puts an innocent baby's life in danger (a zombie could find him during the fight, and if she dies they might leave without knowing he's still alive) just to prove a point. I still don't think she deserves to die, but Kenny neither. I really don't think there is a choice more moral than the other. Clem doesn't want the fight, she souldn't take part in it at all, and as I said Jane is not more innocent than Kenny, nothing of that would happen if she hadn't lie, and she can still say the truth. But in an other hand, Jane was clearly going to die if we don't do anything... Even if she made a huge mistake with the baby, everybody makes mistakes, especially in a world like that. Is it fair to let her getting killed because of her mistake ? But is it fair to kill Kenny because he's gonna make a mistake ?
Well, I just don't think there is a good answer to that situation.
I finished the game 3 weeks ago and I was curious about this subject. I didn't notice last comments were posted in december. As nobody commented after me I guess you're right, people moved past this conversation. So let's move on something else !
We all should remember that in season 1 kenny was always only for his family and lee if u always support his choices but he got nothing to do with clementime, he never was talk to her or support her as far i know, so if playing season 2 is a fresh start of clementimes and kennys relanshionship and kenny wasnt much of success to proove he is a good person and not an selfwish dick and murderer like in season 1, only good thing he did is take radio from clem before she could get a good smack, but after all choosing jane is a right choice for the clem, saving kenny would be right if u still was play with lee becouse he is the one who got history with kenny, not clem
Kenny for the win. If it had been their original plan I would've picked Luke though. I only chose Kenny this time because I refuse being forced to like a character I didn't like or was invested in.
My Clem would've shot Kenny in a heartbeat. My Lee never got along with Kenny at all. Ahem This is supposed to be civil Aron, no need for all caps, I personally do not think she manipulated Clem, if you do fine that's your opinion, but for me I don't believe she did.
Ahem This is supposed to be civil Aron, no need for all caps, I personally do not think she manipulated Clem, if you do fine that's your opinion, but for me I don't believe she did.
Kenny was never my best friend and I killed him because someone else was in trouble, she didn't manipulate me. And yes I probably could forgive them if they had a good reason.
And for the record kenny always keep promise he will change but he only becomes angrier and angrier, i know such peoples in reall life who enjoy to pull anger on others to pull stress out, and in such situations is pull group to danger, i was my self an bad person and hurt mentally my gf for month and always kept promise her i will stop with it but i didnt, just could not controll it, so if peoples who been tho that before will understand why keep kenny is mistake, And try to manipulate us with his words like you know i am not like that, and that i will change, and that i lost my wife and son and i feel bad for what ive done should not make us feel bad for him because what he done to arvo, said to clementine and did lot of other shit in season 1 allready passed a line of his acts,
yes we all had a history with a kenny and telltales games always love to show some characters close friends to our main character so we will feel friendly to them and show sympathy and they are doing a great job with mastermind us with it, but we should forget for a moment that kenny not our friend and just like everyone, for example larry, he is just like kenny, but most of us voted him in first place to the black list just because we didnt meet him in a first place, so dont let history and old friendship manipulate you in such situations
and is the right thing that jane was manipulate with clementine because she is a little girl that doesnt have experience in stuff like that, she just want to believe kenny will change, but he wont, if i was there at her age i would probably try to protect kenny too becouse would not understand my self how bad he is
Her plan sort of but remember she put a recent born baby (that should be dead) in danger. Kenny already lost Duck so why wouldn't he go nuts? Sure what he did on Arvo was unnecessary but this is a different situation and more rational. Anyone that is a parent would understand.

I disagree that Kenny is actually being irrational or unnecessarily violent.

I thought we moved past this conversation.
Why couldn't we talk about Kenny and Jane in Kenny/Jane megathread ? I know this is a touchy subject, but it's not a reason not to talk about it.
This topic gave me PTSD.
I was just surprised to see it, i'm sorry for over reacting, please have your discussion.
WHY WOULD YOU HELP AN ADULT OVER A CHILD AND STILL KEEP SOMEONE WHO MURDERED SOMEONE D-ASS? Also you forgot that Kenny saved Clem from Carver?
JANE MANIPULATED CLEM, I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY, SHE MANIPULATED HER. JANE NEVER DESERVES FORGIVENESS.
Ahem This is supposed to be civil Aron, no need for all caps, I personally do not think she manipulated Clem, if you do fine that's your opinion, but for me I don't believe she did.
If someone makes you kill your best friend which is not right, you would forgive him/her?
Kenny was never my best friend and I killed him because someone else was in trouble, she didn't manipulate me. And yes I probably could forgive them if they had a good reason.
Jane antagonized Kenny and risked a baby. She had it coming.
Even though she can die because of it, you gotta admit her plan worked.
I thought of that before. Kenny wouldn't help Clementine so Clementine can shoot Kenny as retribution. But in the end, it's best to kill Molly 2.0.
