As others have mentioned when Telltale announced Kenny was going to be in season 2 they said "Kenny's fate would be explored" and he ended up being a major character so by saying they will be "checking in on Clementine" could still mean she has a major role but they might not want to give too much away just yet.
I'm glad Clem will be a part of season 3! But now that I think about it, it would also be nice to have her as a side character so we could see what our choices have made her become. Her behavior would be influenced by our choices in season 2 and by the person she stayed with.
Allright, Clem is in Season 3.
But how much older? Rumor says it will take place during the latest comic issue. So Clementine will be i… moren her full teens?
I settle for this

Around 16-17.
Or just 14 tops.

Who else thinks we might just encounter Negan and the Saviors in Season 3?
I'd prefer to continue playing as Clem, the Telltale storyline for TWD has always been about her journeys in the zombie apocalypse, plus I really want to see Season 2 choices go full circle as we play an older Clem affected by those decisions.
I do wonder if she'll make a minor cameo in the comics...

While I feel Kirkman is pretty good with story lines and character interaction, I always felt he's too heavy on the shock value of killing characters or brutality. Season 2 seemed to follow that mechanism a bit too much.
Sure as hell sounds like they're treating her like a side charecter. I mean seriously, did ttg forget that the wd WE GAMERS KNOW is ALL.ABOUT.CLEM
(whatever 'close to comics' stuff he spoke)
Dont fuck a great series up telltale. We want a ttg storyline just like it has been for past 4-5 years. Dont add any other 'new' charecter like Michonne to ur original wd (i love michonne but the original series must stay undistubed by 'new protagonists' and stuff)
return of a fan favorite character (ttg blog)
Fans dont want you to give us more of clem coz we want, fans xpect you to KNOW that clem's story must continue bcoz the we want it to!
AND WHY THE HELL IS TTG LIKE
clem is back, return of clem, we'll see clem again
CLEM WAS NEVER LOST OR FORGOTTEN DAMMIT! In all endings of s2 EVERYONE KNOWS IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE STORY HASNT ENDED AND THERE IS A LOT MORE FOR THAT PRE-TEEN GIRL!
in simple words:
NOT SO IMPRESSED BY THIS INTERVIEW JUST BCOZ HE TRIED TO CONNECT THE COMICS WITH GAMES AND TREAT CLEM AS A OLD CHARACTER WHO'S 'RETURNING' IN S3. WE DONT NEED CONFIRMATION THAT WE'LL SEE HER IN S3 AGAIN. it'd be better if he only repeated that s3 is coming this year and 'CUT'!
I am on phone so it is hard to link the video but anyways in the new interview on Telltale's Youtube channel Robert Kirkman confirms that Lil Clemmy will be in Season 3! ^_^
Who else do you think we would control except for Clem? If not her the only other possible and reasonable choices are AJ, Christa and Lilly. (I might be missing one.) Other than that it's Bonnie, Mike and Arvo but those are a little more unlikely.
It's not exactly clear but the maximum age Clementine can be in season 3 is 14 or 15 due to being 1 year older than comic Carl who is now either 13 or 14.

Something interesting came to mind; didn't Job say we would "DEFINITELY" want to play Michonne before Season 3? With the recent news that Season 3 likely ties into the comics a bit more, maybe some of Michonne's story will connect? I don't read the comics, so that depends on how close/far off Michonne's story is compared to where the comics are currently at.
Who knows, theres not much they can add unless Michonne is sailing and they find Clem, I mean technically they could have Michonne with Clem during the time she is sailing. They could also have some Whispers.

I think it's just about possible that, since Pete says they'll take Paige, Sam and the kids to 'Oceanside or one of the communities up north, that we may see them in Wellington..
Since sam can burn to death, I doubt we will see any of them again. The other three were not that developed and Id rather sam didnt have to die so they could reappear

I thought the Boat Crew was pretty consistent in having good characterization, and I don't even read the comics (that includes Telltale's original characters for the boat crew).
don't get me wrong I am glad clementine is in s3 however his choice of words doen't make feel confrodent that we get to play as her again, "dropped in" makes it seem its going to be short. also there is going to be a time skip so I am not sure how the endings to s2 will play in to or have any effect if any,
They would have to be on the last page or so. I only came here because I clicked a merged Michonne thread, and this is where I was taken. It's not my fault. Spoilers are not allowed in here, especially unmarked.
Honestly I think a time skip in Season 3 of the game is the best thing they could do.
It seems like there is a 50/50 split between people wanting clementine to stay the protagonist, and the others who don't want clementine to stay as the protagonist.
People who don't want Clem to be the protoagonist always use the excuse that "she's too young, she can't make her own decisions, no one listens to her, I want to be an adult, etc." but I think making Clem older can solve both these problems. Still play as clementine, and be old enough to make our own decisions and actually have other characters listen to Clem. Most wouldn't listen to a little girl in the apocalypse.
Though this does leave the confusion of what happened during the time skip. Maybe they could give a brief summary of what they skipped, I'm not sure. But I still think this is the best choice.
I know plenty of people don't want to play as Clem anymore (even though their reasons for this CAN be fixed) but having Clem merely "drop in" during season 3 makes season 1 & 2 pointless for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not one of those "No Clem, No Buy!" People. However, my statement stands.
Season 1 was playing as lee to almost shape clementine. Make her ready for what's about to come, give her experience. Season 2 was using what lee taught her. Then if she's barely there in season 3.... What's the point? It would be a waste. Clementines story certainly isn't finished.

Well, if Telltale wants to take the easy road, all the endings could matter in terms of the characters who appear, but they all end up in Wellington. If you had the Kenny endings, if you left with Kenny then maybe within the next 2 years they were allowed back in, if you left Kenny he could be gone and Clem alone or I guess he could have also been let back in. For Jane endings, within the 2 years Wellington could have continued to grow and become more realistic of a goal and they might have gone there with or without the family, and if Clem is alone, same for the Jane endings, within that time Wellington might have became big and known, which would lead to her going there.

13 years old.
IT'S BEEN 84 YEARS

Actually you're wrong. Almost everyone likes clem.
Clementine in the comics? Well, I believe Kirkman once stated that he isn't fond of that idea. Video game characters making appearance in the comics.
These two are my favorite older clementine pics.
Delirious outta his mind. xD
Reads news, puts down the paper and reveal my jokerfied face

These r my thoughts
Thread: Clementine CONFIRMED to be in Season 3!

Can someone tell me what is a maximum age that Clementine can be in The Walking Dead considering the comics and timeline? 16? 15?
TTG will fuck this game up! I'm now certain they will have Clem as supporting role! (nice way to ruin awesome adventure,TTG jeez)
But still, I'm also worried...

God No, I don't want Comic characters to appear in the actual season. Because you know he has plot armor.

Oh! Ok, ahhaha thanks
Wow. Thanks for all the unmarked Michonne spoilers. You just ruined the game for me completely.
That is a lovely picture!
Where are you seeing Michonne spoilers? Also, regardless of such, you should play/finish the series before coming on here.

Whoa, she's older than comic Carl? I had no idea...
Gosh, July seems so far away.
I second this.
