I feel like Telltale is just getting old now after playing the Michonne Episode, which just felt more or less like a cash grab. Sure, I enjo… moreyed the extra insight into her character, but it still felt like just more of the same. My feelings to Telltale now are literally "Just give me the end of Clementine's story and then I'll let myself out"
I agree 100 %, which is why I feel the way I do with the Michonne Miniseries. It is the same exact story from Season 2 basically being told over again. It doesn't really seem to be bringing anything new or exciting, just the same old stuff.
People say this a lot, but to me it seems like Telltale is using it as a test bed for new ideas. There is a lot in Minecraft: Story Mode th… moreat can't be found in Telltale's other modern games (or in some cases, in any of Telltale's other games). There's direct controlled swordplay and bow and arrow gameplay, with a hit counter. There's puzzles, like their older games, mixed with the quick time events and choices of consequences from their modern titles. Plus, there's the crafting aspect, which is solely a Minecraft thing. So, while I find it a lot of fun (especially in the instances where you can craft multiple objects for a solution), I don't expect it to be used exactly like that in any other game after Minecraft: Story Mode comes out.
It's a lot like their Pilot Program games in that way (ie: the Puzzle Agent and Poker Night series). It tests quirky, new ideas, except this time they're using a known license to ensure that the game se… [view original content]
Tell me one concept or feature that is new or exciting to the Michonne series. I can't think of any, not even the story is new as they already told it in Season 2. So how does it not come across as a cashgrab? Either way I guess I'm stuck with it now since they forced me to buy all three episodes at once because they want money faster
Tweet by Kevin Bruner! If this is related to Michonne (Probably is but it could be Minecraft), then it looks like they're keeping their promise with the monthly releases which is great!
Honestly, I think it's Minecraft. If Michonne's already being sent off for ratings/cert, that means it would have have had to have practically been done when the first episode came out, unless it's going to be like Minecraft episode 2 again.

Cool, it looks like they are starting to get things ready so Kevin's tweet could be about either Story Mode or Michonne.
Mc sm haven't been updated since 12 days ago.
Looking at the Minecraft Story Mode Steam database page it looks like the last updates was for the Linux version with no signs of episode 5 at the moment but they could start updating things at any time.
Oh please, TWD S2 Ep5 didn't had any classifications after it was released, i remember that.
TWD season 2 episode 5 was rated 6 days before release.
It isn't Minecraft Story Mode. It's The Walking Dead Michone Episode 2 Give No Shelter.

Probably not. The rating process takes time, and it takes another week or two for the game to come out after it's been rated. I would say that the 22nd is the most realistic date right now, with the 15th also being a possibility.
Funny you mention those games, as they are top of my list of worst attempts at story-driven content; Gears of War being far from entertaining to me considering its very confusing storyline. Nevertheless, I never said that TellTale are the only good storytellers in the business, but I definitely wouldn't put Naughty Dog above them either. In terms of "button smashing nonsense" that I was speaking of is a play style or gameplay choice. Quick Time Events or Button Indicated action sequences are a tool to drive the story forwards. It has been criticized for being too linear, but I enjoy it because it puts you into the feel of the moment. I'm not saying non-linear games are bad unentertaining, just that they are not as story-driven which can be entertaining too. Don't expect TellTale to make a game that's like The Last of Us or Dead Rising.
"Button smashing nonsense" ......mhm because Telltale games are not made up of mostly quick time events and like you say "Button mashing non… moresense".
Bioshock, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Gears of War....I mean these are all "story-driven entertainment".
I'm a big fan of Telltale Games but come on, don't you go acting like they are the only good storytellers in the business because that's just wrong. If I had to choose who's a better game developer between Naughty Dog and Telltale, I would pick Naughty Dog everytime for their "button mashing nonsense", but that's just me.
The length and the number of episodes seems quite generous of TellTale considering the only thing we got between Seasons 1 & 2 was some very short stories. Michonne is my favorite character from the TV show and comics. So its a real treat to me to have 3 episodes with her in them.
I don't exactly mean 100 times. And when I say "restart" I do not mean the whole game, I mean a certain part. The part where you're being questioned by Mrs. Psychopath, I kept restarting it because I wanted to see what would happen with each combination of choices. I redid that A LOT.
As soon as they finish Michonne they will focus more on Season 3 and will release it soon after. It has been confirmed Season 3 will release soon after Michonne is finished.
I just finished the first one. I'm so excited I dnt wait til next one comes out.
I wander if n wen they will do a season 3. If it will continue Clementine on her story.
I'll admit Telltale tells better stories then Gears. Naughty Dog is the best game developer in the business. There is a reason that The Last of Us won so many game of the year awards, and a reason why Uncharted 4 will likely do the same. I will agree that Telltale are one of the best storytellers but saying they are better then Naughty Dog is wrong. Neil Druckman is best creative director in the business or has emerged to be the best in the past few years and there is nobody at Telltale with the same talent or ability. You can slot whatever developer wherever you want but I would choose Naughty Dog over Telltale any day of the week. Just another thing though, TLOA, Uncharted, Gears, Bioshock, they are all "linear" games with one ending/story...with the exception of Bioshock which as someone pointed out has different endings. (Still one story per game tho)
I mean look when you think about it Telltale's main focus or their sole focus is story. They are "point and click" games. So when the story isn't a 100% perfect then the entire game takes a hit. Other game developers like Naughty Dog might make up for a story mishap by having really fun gameplay.

Lol fuck.. proven wrong. IF i remember correctly, each game follows different protagonists though? So what i meant was they aren't incorporating choices the same way as Telltale.
Sorry, but that scene alone takes about ten minutes. And Telltale games are very story tailored, which means that even if you speed through the hub areas and answer fast, you'll still have to watch the same amount of cutscenes/dialogue as anyone else, which is the main part of the game and cannot be skipped. You definitley didn't just take an hour, especially if you rewound one of the longest scenes several times, seeing as it took everyone who didn't rewind about 90 minutes, and again the length only varies several minutes from player to player.

No, it wasn't. It hasn't even been confirmed that Season 3 will be this year, even though it's likely. All Telltale has confirmed is that there won't even be news on Season 3 until Michonne ends in April.

Just noticed that the color of the sky on this pic fits the background of the Michonne reveal promo perfectly.
Edit: Nevermind. You didn't see anything.

I usually am to be honest but the episode length felt right to me in Michonne.

It isn't really a behind the scenes, if it was, we would'va saw how they model a character or something like that.
It's a trailer apparently so sooner or later, Telltale are gonna show us their work on their games.
Probably after it ends, just like after GoT and TFTB they briefly showed some recordings from the VA session.
The last episode took me an hour and I restarted 100x. I hope this one will be longer. And end with a cliffhanger, gots to end with a cliffhanger.
The first episode felt really short, I hope for way more with this upcoming episode.
Waiting for EP 2 ... waiting for Spring Break... waiting for Lady Midnight.....
I just finished the first one. I'm so excited I dnt wait til next one comes out.
I wander if n wen they will do a season 3. If it will continue Clementine on her story.
How is that possible?
Anyway, it's already confirmed that ttg doesn't use his own engine, and it uses Maya 2016.
Very much looking forward to episode 2.

Serendipity!
It would be pretty pethetic if they didn't release season 3 this year.
It was confirmed that they were working on twd s3 a lot. Confirmed by Laura on a livestream.
It was teased to be released this year by Job..
I know that. It's still not confirmed.
