I need to take a minute to get this out of my system: good god are there some brutal moments this episode
John getting half his face blown off, killing that one dude near the end with a fucking flare gun, beating up Randall at Monroe, beating up Randall again, pulling the bullet out of Sam, torturing Randall, beating Randall's face in with a wrench... the list goes on, and I haven't even seen what happens if you attack the people at Monroe yet.

Gabby survives. At Monroe she just ends up falling into the water, and she's with Randall when he drives up to the shoreline, taking potshots at you. She doesn't show up at the end of the episode, though.
As for Cam, I don't even know. He's pretty much a redshirt to be honest, but if he was that dude trying to climb the tower, then yeah, he's probably dead.
I rate it a 6. The episode was very short and mediocre overall but had good moments. However just as I said on the other thread. Just a little mini spoiler. Say what you want about Randall but unlike The Stranger or Carver he's not a coward, he's vicious and can handle himself. He can shake off up to 3 people and can withstand a savage beating that would kill or at least concuss a normal man with barely being phased. This guy may be the toughest sum bitch the game series has seen yet

Out of curiosity, what makes you say it's mediocre, if you don't mind me asking? I know you've mentioned you think the writing is still better than S2, so I'm wondering if there's something in particular making the series weak for you.

The writing and overall story is very good. I can also appreciate them trying to incorporate the value of choices better in a smaller time limit. I just think a 1 hour episode while trying to build on character development and story is hard to do

I still can't get over that fucking flare gun kill
That is one of the most simultaneously brutal yet awesome deaths I've seen
I don't even care if it's stretching reality a bit, that is one godawful way to die

I am still really, really pissed that Michonne and Co. burned down an entire community of innocent, helpless and confused people, even if it wasn't intentional. We see that only a few made it to the shore: Randall, Norma, Gabby, Cam and a few others, meaning that Zackary, Jonas and everyone else burned to death or drowned, unless some managed to regroup the ships somewhere else. I haven't accepted that as canon yet, even though I know it is.
The town Norma had going was really nice, with fucking Christmas lights connecting the boats. Think of how many hours were spent hanging them around, possibly children! Michonne killed those children, their families, everyone! So Randall went down there and tried to give those murderers justice, but he couldn't make sure they'd never kill again.
It doesn't work. Telltale's trying to make the drama but I still don't care about new characters. Except Michonne and her plot armour, rest can die and it won't be big thing. So Norma and her people are bad. No twist. That's why they are risking life (and wasting ammo) chasing three people? Revenge? Goods in a bag? I don't really know those people or understand their motives. Boring.

Actually, I think it's implied that Monroe is still in mostly one piece. Norma comes on over the walkie-talkie, and says if Randall doesn't report that that she'll send everything, which would imply she still has a sizable amount of people to spare.
We didn't technically see the place burn down, the most we saw were boats on fire. It isn't as clear-cut and done as Howe's was. They could have gotten everyone out of the burning boats and dealt with the fires, some of the boats could have taken off, who knows.
Also, on another note, a fair amount of the boats making up Monroe were shipwrecked, and it appears that most of the wrecked ones were the ones on fire. Obviously, no one in their right minds would be living in the wrecked ships. And even furthermore, you can both hear and see boats leaving, although it's not easy to make out in the videos. I imagine the extent of the damage will be easier to see when we can play on a nice big screen tomorrow.

Cam was the guy with orange jacket, and he was crushed by the signal tower. Randall, I suppose he does have some psychopathic tendencies, but I don't see him as evil. I've changed my mind on him. [It's late for me, so I'll write more on why I did, tomorrow.]
Edit: Welp, I never did. Sue me, I dare you. Michonne's my lawyer.

Actually, no. We end up knowing that Sam actually stole them and they showed mercy and the she stole a second time. We also burnt their community... Hummmm... I wonder why they're pissed off???

My main concern is that you can see on the episode banner that Norma's ship has caught fire too. I imagined that that place was in the middle of the community. Well, I hope you're right, Deltino.

Also, it's not like the entire community decided to go after Michonne and co. It's only Randall and a few people he rounded up trying to hunt them down. He even outright says that Norma doesn't know that he's out in the woods. Norma wasn't interested in chasing them through the woods; it was Randall who thought otherwise.

I feel really bad for Jonas in the kill Zachary path
Guy is left bound, gagged and crying next to Zachary's body
I wouldn't even blame the guy if he showed up and took potshots at us, because that's just fucked
The episode was good. But I agree that it was short. I find the finally scene with Randall much like the St. John's. Baiting you to try and kill him, I left him there because I wouldn't want to give him what he wants plus I'm surprised that the more people Chose to kill him . Why give him what he wants ?
Randall, Cam, Gabby and a nameless survivor are there when Michonne climbs the tower. Cam ends up trapped under it, and the others leave without him, possibly meaning that he died. However, Randall arrives at John's house with two different redshirts, and Gabby and the previous survivor both vanished.
So I'm commenting this as I'm playing it. I'm pissed that Michonne slaughtered a ton of innocent people, but so far between the cow-catcher and the amazing animation, I'm really loving this episode. Much better than Episode 1 so far.

Did Gabby and Cam die? Can't remember

Yeah I love the type of brutality Telltale is capable of. I'd love it if they used their capability in that category more often
I couldn't help but think about Jack O' Lantern.

Was Cam the dude climbing after us? TBHi think randall is a legit psychopath

We only see the main ship on fire in the key art. From what I can tell, it isn't on fire in the actual episode. I could be wrong, though.
edit: I am wrong. The main ship is on fire, but only a very small portion of it at the front.
Was Gabby in the woods with Randall's group?
Yes. She was in the airboat that Randall drove up the shore, and she was there when Randall was trying to shoot us off the electric tower
Oh cool she seems to be his 2nd in command
I feel really bad for Jonas in the kill Zachary path

The kills in the episode were BAD-ASS. Perfect for Michonnes character.
Can anyone give me a list of people with randall in the woods?
I light how the flare was floating outside his mouth before jumping right back into it.
...See what I did there?
Does anyone know what happens if Zachary is not killed in the previous episode?

Damn, I really love Samantha's character too. She's pretty cool. I hope the gunshot wound doesn't kill her, I wouldn't want her to be a Denise.
Can i get a pic of cam and the guy on the tower? Thanks
[I'll post a joke here after you finish the episode; let me know please.]
Tbh its in character. Rick's group would kill anyone considered a threat
Yep, I'll let you know.
Also, I am really about to cry now, I really wish Sam had passed out from the pain sooner, that was agonizing to watch.
