On IGN the episodes were about 7.5/10. I don't know what reviews TT looks at for decisions, and I also don't know what threshold is too low to continue in the same direction.
This company does not give one good god damn about us or our complaints. They are after new money and new players. As long as they get good reviews and can tweet out meaningless accolades this series will only suffer
Yeah I couldn't stand how they kept interrupting her just to ramble their own half-assed thoughts and trail off into silence until the next question. There were several instances where Melissa was going to reveal more information and some douchebag interrupts her--- "Yeah, duhhhh I agree!"
The hollowness in me just kept increasing after this interview.
I don't know if Melissa might get fired for this, she just expressed her … moredisappointment for this "company".
Also the interview hosts are so uninformed about this season and so wussy it's cringy.
"Oh Clem gets a scar?! She really went through a lot." (What?!), "He reminds me of Lee. [Dead silence]", "Clem sure changed [Melissa sighs loudly]", "I'm not ready to kill Conrad as Javi boohoo. [You are in 4 fucking years of the apocalypse, why the fuck not]", "After the New Frontier she was probably forced to do dirty stuff & that's why she is so resisting meeting new people [what the fuck!?!]", "You know she doesn't like TNF [Well no shit]", 'She went through a lot [not inserted why/how she changed]" x 10 times repeated, they sound so high too.

It almost makes you wanna reach through the screen and go, "Don't worry, kiddo! It's gonna be alright!" xD
Hopefully more of this side of Clem comes out in the future episodes, because as much as I've loved seeing Clem turn into this badass survivor who can get things done, I think part of what made the previous two seasons so memorable was that human side. Those times where we could tell that deep down, despite having to grow up in a world that doesn't really let you keep your childhood, Clem still was forced to grow up far too soon. Being able to check in on her as Lee, and eventually playing as her in season 2... I miss that aspect. And I don't think it's too late for them to find some of that magic again. I mean, what is she in this? Thirteen or something?
There are actually a few scenes in A New Frontier where you can see the old Clem shine through, especially in the flashbacks, but when you t… morealk to her when you get stuck because of the car in the tunnel in episode 2, she will say something like "Dont get me wrong, having people is nice but.." and then go on to almost whimper, "But it always ends up hurting in the end", to me, thats a really strong moment, and it really broke my heart, because its a moment where Clems hardened "facade" so to speak breaks, and her emotion gets the better of her, I just wish I could hug her , but playing as Javier, thats not possible because he doesnt know her history like we do
Please stick to using large letters for special reasons when you can, like labeling sections of a post or something similar. If you just write entire posts in large text, it only make messages distracting.
Wait...
They STILL have no idea where this season's main story plot is going?
Why the hell would you release this then if you haven't finished the main story!?!?
Oh my God.

So .. if the release date is April or March, i expect that the episode will be longer, well i hope. But they havent written episode 3 yet... damn telltale... Even Melissa is mad at ya!

Yes, he definitely could have worded that better. If he would have have said something like 'I personally think it isn't' and given his reas… moreons why instead of just saying "Its not" that would have been a completely different situation.
As it turns out, he didn't, so I took it the only way I could.
Well it's nice to hear Melissa's thoughts on the game, but ooohh boy that's stir us up. I hate to hear that their was more content apparently in the works, but we got such a meager game. I feel sorry for her. Working that voice if only to have all that effort cut and shoved to a secondary character position (considerin how bad the flashbacks were). It confirms my negative disposition on the game, but still leaves me dissapointed.
Tbh, I thought that since there are only five episodes that to accommodate the extra episode that lost its slot, that they would pile two episodes into one, but honestly, I don't even know anymore.
I'm quite surprised that Melissa spoke up and was so candid about her issues with the way S3 has treated...
I don't think TTG will kill of Clem in retaliation as some people have suggested, but they could cut her role/scenes even further if they are miffed at what she said.
Telltale really seems to be thinking that Javi will be enough for the fans at this point. I seem to vaguely recall Job saying we'll forget about Clem once we hear about Javi's intense and compelling story ("Clem who?")
There's no way the fans will be ok with Clem being killed off, but I could see the writers thinking a more reduced role would not have negative effects on the season.
... Or maybe the company is not that petty or at least has good business sense and won't do anything to Clem's role this season.
Very interesting, thank you.
But phew.. this sounds really bad. Scrapping lots of already finished content, re-writing episodes back and forth.. looks like Season 3 is going to continue to be a dirty mess of miscalculation and insecurity about what the story is supposed to be about. Looks like Telltale had/has no clear idea of what they want/ed to do with Season 3.
I really want to stay optimistic about this franchise.. but so far almost everything points towards ANF ending up as a total disaster
In case ya'll don't want to listen to the 1 hour and 20 min, I typed it all up.
Speaker: "There's not enough Clementine"
Meli: "I agre… moree"
Meli: (Talking about the alone flashbacks/finger.) "We only saw it get crushed we didn't see it come off....we haven't gotten to that part ye---" Then she gets cut off by the speaker. Another flashback awaiting?
Meli: (Talking about episode length) " I was sad when the first episode ended I was like what the fuck? Really? That was so short! I liked the pace I thought it was a really good pace but I was like... oh. It only took like an hour to play through the first episode. Considering each episode of S2 was about an hour and a half to two hours. So I have to admit I was a little..---
Speaker: "--that's why they released e1 and 2?"
Meli: "*....yeaaahh... they did that, uh, well there was so much rewriting these episodes, where, I didn't know what was going to be left in them and what wasn't… [view original content]

If you had told me that I'd be depressed with Telltale after playing the premiere episodes, I'd have called you a liar.
My disappointed and depression at this point is palpable.
I've really been enjoying the season thus far and what they're doing with it, but hearing a lot of Clem's flashbacks got cut depresses me. Worst part is you can tell because she's barely playable in those episodes, and then in Episode 2 Clementine is hardly there [in particular if you didn't choose to stick around with her and completely miss that segment with her at the beginning of Episode 2] I really love what they're doing with Javier and his family, but for a two protagonist game, it's feeling more like Clementine is being sidelined, and I was prepared for that, but not by this much.
God I just hope those flashbacks have been moved to appear in a later episode, rather than being cut entirely. Maybe with what happened with her and AJ being separated, Telltale want for Clementine to share it with Javier, rather than her just spacing out and having short Vietnam flashbacks. I swear if they've cut some good stuff again I'm sad.

Internet Rage! Thats about it.
They already got my money, not much else I can do.
Just look at their Twitter.
It's like we don't even exist - they just look at the great reviews and ... that's it.
Thankfully their sales are declining right now (dramatically). Hopefully this will teach them.

Why can't we have a interview livestream with her? I bet we would do a better job than these clowns.
Yeah, my reaction when I got home and saw this happening.
Wait...
They STILL have no idea where this season's main story plot is going?
Why the hell would you release this then if you haven't finished the main story!?!?
Oh my God.
Wouldn't be hard to do better.... just don't open your fucking mouth lol

Top notch gif, gave me a good laugh.
I am just so frustrated right now. At least I'll make some bold. Can I at the very least increase one sentences size by x1.5?
That's okay; you are free to be frustrated and voice your opinions, just stick to using the large text more sparingly. Thanks!

tbh i hope the episode will be 4 hours long to make up for episode 1 and 2 #neverstopbelieving
I wonder why Ollie was banned

Man, just look at all those "most helpful" Steam reviews; They are mostly negative.
Is there a link to those sales or something? I want to see how much they are losing with this.
Tbh, I thought that since there are only five episodes that to accommodate the extra episode that lost its slot, that they would pile two episodes into one, but honestly, I don't even know anymore.
This day in a nutshell, man lol
Hopefully Melissa has the high ground
Well these are Steam sales only (so no console) but they give a good indication of how well each game did.

Me too, I mean the poor guy had only been here for 3 days...
The more I read this, the more I'm depressed.

If they shorten her involvement even more, then sparks will fly.
Steam shows about 300 negative and 2000 positive reviews, it says "very positive" on the front page.
I don't know, I didn't see him post much on the other threads.
I'd sign it, give me the link.
Wait you were going to bring pizza?
If you had told me that I'd be depressed with Telltale after playing the premiere episodes, I'd have called you a liar.
My disappointed and depression at this point is palpable.
The negative ones are very detailed and, once again I'll type it, "most helpful"...
It almost doesn't feel real. This wasn't supposed to happen.

Maybe this is all a nightmare that we all have at the same time and can't wake up from it.
Why is most helpful in quotation marks?
Because I can't quote words at the end of the sentence for some reason.
