  • Yeah I more or less just meant in The Walking Dead lol. I know Gavin and Dave are still with us, thank God.

Now there's only one left..:( Well they do star in other games, Dave has been in quite a few, TFTB, MCSM, Batman, etc, and Gavin had even been in some games prior to TWD.

  • I don't understand how Wolf Among Us, Back to the Future, Michonne, Walking Dead S1, Minecraft, Batman, and Jurassic Park all had characters that I loved and a story that was incredible, yet Season 2 of Walking Dead, New Frontier, and Game of Thrones was f'd.

We need to get the old writers back.

Who else is not excited for Guardians of the Galaxy ?

  • Well, if they want money they should probably just make a proper sequel to their most popular series instead of cutting corners at every turn, and doing tons of stuff that noone asked for

    Flog61 posted: »

They want money, and they're probably losing old fans as the episodes are becoming shorter and shorter for the same price. They need people who will splash out without knowing the way they actually use their money, and then it's too late.

  • That awkward moment when one of your most important employees politely admits your content is banal and lackluster in pretty much all areas.

It's actually kind of funny because throughout S2 Melissa stayed relatively positive despite all the hate. It goes to show just how horrible ANF has been so far.

  • Lol don't be naive, look around here. Many many people are upset with this season and Telltale in general, including the main voice actress who has been part of the process since season 1.

validated all of the fan frustration and concerns. Lol. Entitled fans always think they're the majority.

  • Quite the opposite, in fact.

They aren't that fucking stupid to do that.

I don't think the old writers can write Telltale out of the corner.

It's ambiguous but different teams means different kinds of people who may have more motivation to put some effort into something.

  • The majority of the forums is concerned about Season 3's quality.

  • You're exaggerating now. It hasn't been horrible, just not up to our expectations.

  • It hasnt exactly been horrible no, but it could very well be the way to something horrible, where we either dont get any more walking dead games, or the walking dead games will take a completely new turn, having nothing to do with Clem or any of the characters we know so far, which would be a shame considering alot of us is really invested in Clems story.

Season 4 (if made) will be make or break for alot of people I think, if season 3 isnt already, I know that if they try to pull some shit with a new character or something AGAIN in season 4, I am probably not coming back unless its something very special

I don't feel like postponing the episode will fix our concerns. The art and everything must already been done for the game. They just have to debug it and do the recording for the voice actors.

If they make every episode from scratch every time during the gap period inbetween each episode, why did we wait so long for this season? It's not that simple. They surely didn't take 2 years to think of a cool and exciting new story...

It was going to, and it still might had Melissa said the wrong date. I do hope there will be a longer date though so they have time to work on the season's concerns.

  • It's been horrible to me.

How would you know what I personally consider good, bad or worse? You don't.

If there was a word worse than horrible I would use that, too. I thought of all the ways they could disappoint me before the season came out and I was spot on on most of them.

    It's been horrible.

Have you seen the sales? Michonne did awful. You know what did worse than Michonne? Batman. You know what's doing worse than Batman? Season 3. It was doing good until the sales actually started going down due to returns. S2 had way more sales in its first week than Season 3 these last three weeks combined.

    Lol. You wish.

  • Well, sucks for you.

  • No, they're still rewriting episodes last second, and even said they're rewriting the third episode too (in correlation to Melissa's interview). Hopefully with all of this time they flatten out plot holes, stabilize the actual script, generate a better story, have more time to animate smoothly, etc.

No, illegal to release or talk about the finances of a private company when you are not in charge of said company/actually employed by them. Would certainly be in breach of contract I think..

It's illegal to spend a lot of money for a game? How?

  • It's horrible.

Had these mistakes been new, it wouldn't be horrible. These are all the same mistakes from S2 x100.

  • Honestly, it makes S2 look like a damn masterpiece. Recently I've had this idea that The Flash ended up in TWD universe somehow and fucked up all the timelines-that's what S3 is.

  • And there are apparently eight writers working on season 3.

As an English major, that's fucking painful.

Man... I remember when she told us here after House Divided how Ep3 was still in development...

I died a little inside that day. I miss these interactions.

What are you talking about? This forum is nothing but complaints. She obviously has some power over this forum if you haven't read the many complaints surrounding her interview.

  • I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the first two (one) episode(s). Javier and his fam are good and likable characters that I grew to like in a very short time. That hasn't been the case with S2. I think that if the episodes were longer, Clementine got more play time and the consequences of our choices (yeah right) clearly came out, I'd be completely satisfied with episode 3.

It's horrible. Had these mistakes been new, it wouldn't be horrible. These are all the same mistakes from S2 x100. It's horrible.

  • I'm so afraid what's going to happen to A New Frontier.

  • Good for you, but nobody has to agree with your opinion. When we say its been horrible its because personally we feel like it has been. We're certainly not trying to force people to feel the same way, so why are you? Besides, bad, mediocre, horrible, who cares. Point is, most of the fanbase is unhappy and its time our voices are heard.

People were pissed already. The best we can hope is that the interview has made telltale more aware of our frustrations.

  • While not absolutely hating A New Frontier so far, I cant really say that I am too thrilled either, in a way I love seeing what Clem has become, and I feel sad when I see her breaking her hardened shell, and I get to see her old self from season 1 and 2, but I cant help but feel how much better it could have been.

As opposed to you, I havent been enjoying my time with Javiers family very much, Javier himself is an ok character, but a bit bland in my opinion, but his family, the only really likable character was Mariana, and she dead.

When I play the flashbacks however, I see the kind of game I really wanted with this, I see the happy Clem that I know, the caring Clem, and interacting with AJ (Albeit onesided) is my favorite thing in this game so far, when the girl (Ava? is that her name?) from A New Frontier arrived, I didnt hesitate to raise my gun against her, having AJ under my protection makes me not want to trust random strangers, and thats the dynamic that I really wanted from Season 3, Clem and AJ, there is alot of choices that could be made, such as do you avoid settlements because you dont trust people, or do you go to the settlements because AJ needs protection and food. Do you feed yourself to keep your strength up, or do you feed AJ to keep his strength up? It would also have been really interesting to play as Clem during her time in the New Frontier, as you could choose how far you were willing to go to secure AJ's protection and food for him.

But all that just seems like a pipedream now, I really hope Telltale knows what theyre doing, but it doesnt seem too likely, I really hope they can get out of this problem, and then make season 4 (if that ever happens) the best it can be, which in my opinion means bringing back Clem as the main protagonist

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the first two (one) episode(s). Javier and his fam are good and likable characters that I grew to like

  • Well, we can just hope that whatever problems Telltale is having internally, (I certainly hope this is due to problems), that they can sort it out, and make something good if not great out of A New Frontier, I just hope we dont lose this series in all of this, and that there can be hope for a season 4 that blows everything out of the water, but it doesnt seem too likely right now

I typed up probably 85% of the entire interview, leaving out the nonsense and some unfunny jokes. I picked out the important ones, and those are the important ones. Anyone can feel free to listen to the interview. It's not out of context. The only editing I did of the quotes was I removed some of their stuttering and awkward pauses (there were a lot) to make the transcript easier to read. Whether people listen to it or read the transcript, they will still feel the same way about the interview and episodes.

Sheesh can't I bring some positivity in these dark places? I'm not forcing you to feel the same as me but some people come off as incredible drama queens. (Not pointing at you) I should know most of the fanbase is unhappy, I'm one of them. I just don't think it's as horrible as you make it out to be. Now, let's all calm down a notch. Also that "You're wrong" comment was about TWDaze thinking I'm lying to myself, not about his opinion.
