I finally got an iPad, a 16GB third generation. It was an early Christmas present, so it doesn't really count as the last item I purchased. Although, I was the one who ordered it from Amazon, so I guess it counts on a technicality. :p

You should have bought the mystery train ticket and have fun seeing where you end up.

I may not have enjoyed the game all that much, but for a POUND, I wasn't gonna say no to this. It's actually quite a good read. Look of good artwork and an interesting story about how the plot of the game was formed.

Vain, does the backlight turn all the way off?

I mean, if it's completely dark in a room, and you have the backlight turned all the way down to the lowest setting, can you still see light from the screen?

My Kindle arrived today, and it's definitely a neat thing to own. ;)

LEDs are strange things indeed. Seems like the lowest setting consumes less energy than on/off/on would waste. So, yes, somehow the LEDs are always at work, even at bar zero. The second odd thing is that Amazon wants you to use a very faint light setting for DARKER rooms, and more light in LIGHT environments. I see the point, but will still have to experience if it makes sense to me in reality.

More X-mas presents; but I can't really give away too much because some friends of mine might be looking. :D :D

BUT I bought a present today both in an English version for one lucky friend and the German translation for another lucky friend.

If the box says "The Asylum" on it, you're in for some pretty terrible crap. I've watched enough BMB to prove this is true.
