Last week I bought some christmas presents for my younger cousins. Nothing too fancy, but I think they'll appreciate the gesture.

Sod eBay, I got it from Play.com for £5.49. Yeah, up yours to everyone who outbid me at the last goddamn minute. I got my game at my target price and you can all go screw yourselves. Woo!

    A SUIT.

Well, I didn't actually buy it. It was my grandmother's Christmas present to me but she wanted me to pick it out so that it would fit and also look good. After I've officially opened it on Christmas, I might post a picture of me wearing it, because it's super snazzy.

Said "gift transactions" are for me, I just put them to my inventory at first.

Let the flaming about my purchase of TFU2 commence. I liked the story of the first game, and this one was only $5. After all, it's not like I bought Jurassic Park or anything.

A copy of Skyrim for my BFF, but unfortunately for her she wanted the 360 version, so she won't have any hilarious modding hijinks.

The next thing I will be buying for myself is Cooking Mama 4. I FREAKING LOVE COOKING MAMA.

Spent my Amazon.com Gift Cert. getting a discount on the rest of the Avengers series of movies I didn't get yesterday for Christmas, as well as The Dark Knight on Blu-ray (since my sister's boyfriend got me Batman Begins). I feel ashamed that I didn't own a copy of those until now.

TFU2 has a good story. But the game is short. So short that part of me believes that the TFU team purposefully cut the last part of the game in order to leave that cliffhanger to secure their position at LucasArts. Look how that turned out.

It's going to be a good New Year's.

Also, why on Earth does 1.75 litres of Stoli cost as much as one litre? I mean, do they just start giving it away after a point or does my liquor store just rule?

I didn't get to answer. Be that way, meanie.

True story: when Stoli first hit the shelves in the UK, it was super-cheap. Nobody knew the brand, ergo nobody wanted it. It was sold in dodgy off-licenses along with Grolsch which had the same problem. How times do change...
  • edited December 2011
When Stoli was first sold here in the US, Pepsi imported it and played up its Soviet origins which were seen as novel and exotic.

At least that's not a disaster like the UK launch of Dasani. LOL IT'S TAP WATER U GUYS. Tapwater from London no less, one of the places in the UK where you should be careful about drinking the tapwater...
