Thank fucking God it's not that bobbed cut hair fuck shit style anymore, I don't even remember what it's called. I will literally take anyth… moreing else than that, I'd even rather she have a shaved head like Ava than what she ended ANF with. It's like Clem woke up from her strange, hypnotic spell that she was in during all of ANF and is back to being the Clem we all know.
AJ looks so much older, if I had to guess, he's probably 7-8 years old, pretty much what Clem was in Season 1. That means Clem is in her late teens or is an early adult. I'm sorry, I need a minute to take this in, I'm honestly a little teary eyed seeing this. So what if I'm a guy, fuck you I don't care.
I hope so, so long as she makes fun of it. Something like "Ugh, what the hell was I thinking with that? God, fucking puberty, first it gave me a stupid crush on that whiny, pathetic little brat, then it made me want to adopt his shitty hairstyle. What was his name again...Gavin, something like that, I honestly don't even remember."
Whatever it was, I'm glad that phase passed over Clementine and we don't have to endure it for an entire season.

I hope something like that is said in the season. At least now we can control Clementine the whole season and stop her from making bad decisions like that.

I like it, much better than whatever it's actually called. It was in another thread, but I pretty much described it like this:
She looks like one of those generic, entitled, bitchy, millennial hipsters who’s always drinking lattes from Starbucks and whining about the injustices of modern society and how nothing is fair, holding herself as some brilliant intellectual who looks down on those who don’t think the same way she does.
Seriously, I was expecting her to hold up a sign saying "We are the 99%" and start advocating socialism or something. (To mods, I'm not trying to make this political, nor am I trying to start a debate with someone, I'm just saying that the hairstyle she had is a stereotypical trait of those who often say stuff like this. Not everyone mind you, but it is used by a lot of people. This comment was made for comedic purposes, I wish I didn't have to explain this though.)

She actually would now that I think about it, and that just increased my hatred for it a hundred fold. I didn't even think it was possible, but you did, thanks for that.

So are we just throwing out the "not going ahead of the comics" thing? Because if not AJ is one big boy. And it looks like Clementine has a 5 o'clock shadow. She looks like she could grow a Kenny beard.
Could be Kirkman allowed them a little bit of freedom in regards to time advancement. Either way it makes sense for AJ to be of this age rather than a infant the whole series.

Definitely darker than ANF. I'd like a game with the atmosphere of S1. There was just something about ANF that made it feel too light-hearted for my liking. I'd prefer more "taboo" elements like the cannibals in ep2, more characters like the stranger, etc. But as long as the story is good, I'm fine with whatever.
the Batman-style menu!
I would like a unique menu like S2, not the Batman-style menu every game after Batman S1 had.
I'm sooooooo happy about the returned haircut. Season 3 was just awful. Also, if Telltale makes AJ shoot Clementine in the head I will lose my shit. Be original. Hold on let me correct that - if my little Sweetpea dies in any way in this season, I will lose my shit. I know it's gonna happen though.
I still think it is not that big of a skip; similar to the 16 month time skip in S2. We truly don't know how long Clem went without AJ in ANF. That gap should have been maybe a couple months at most. Still, AJ looks to be 3 1/2 to 4, which would fit with a 16-month-like time skip. Clem still looks like a teenager; my bet being that she is 15 now assuming she was 13 in ANF.
I commented before that I didn't see my nephew for a year, and he grew rather big in that time. He went from no hair to a jheri curl mane and from inching like a worm to running around the house. We also need to remember that Clementine is short, and I mean short. Clem looks to be barely 5'0'' (~1.5m). If that's true, AJ is about 2'6''-3'0'' (~0.75 to 0.90m) which would make him slightly under the average height of a 4 year old (3'4'' or ~1.01m). So, Clem can have a growth spurt (5'3'' maybe) and my theory still works.
And I don't think Skybound would give TTG that much freedom. I can see them giving TTG a minor "big picture" spoilers saying X, Y, and Z will happen at the end of the current comicbook arc, so don't do A, B, and C. Sort of like how TTG was given some freedom with TFTBL.

This art work made me cry realizing that never season will top the first...I mean come the fuck on who expects this to be better than anf? And did they just skip the comic timeline or am I tripping or something¿
Damn, that call back to the original games poster and the hair jumped my hype meter from 4 to 6. Now we just need to retcon ANF. Or give me a 3 minute flashback of its characters simultaneous deaths early on, just to get them out of the way. Either or is fine, really.
Hilltop seems unlikely, assuming Telltale really is taking advice from fans, doing comic connections again would be dumb, seeing that ANF just made it boring because it was just characters we knew would be fine.

Wait...what if the key art is showing us a scene where it is found out that AJ is the Zombie Messiah and the walkers are trying to keep Clem from axing AJ? Never expected that did you?
Heya, back from the forum grave to say I am cautiously optimistic about this game, but I'm worried it hasn't received enough development time and it might be rushed. I'm glad to hear that Batman season 2 turned out okay, but the technical/gameplay flaws of Telltale are still a big drawback for me, so I hope this marks the transition to the new engine.
New Frontier is still non canon in my mind, and it's hard for me to think of Kenny as dead, considering how absurdly terrible that scene is from a technological, cinematic, and storytelling perspective.
Episode 4 was one of my favourite episodes, so having Gary Whitta return helps me feel a little more hopeful.
I also hope they don't just kill of Clem, that feels rather cliche. I don't play Telltale games just because I expect people to die so I can be sad. And I feel that kind of ruins Lee's original quest for Clementine if she dies before she even reaches adulthood, that would be quite tragic.
To everyone panicking about Clem potentially dying, I think that Job (prior to being laid off) was very strongly hinting that there isn't a death warrant out for Clem just because it's the "Final Season". I mean, sure, you can probably expect a sad ending anyways (it is the Walking Dead), but sad endings don't have to only be limited to character death.
As for the Key Art in general, I'm really digging it. It gives me some "back to the basics" kinda vibes, and even though I'm usually not one to dote on Clem for having been "our little girl" throughout the last few Seasons as some fans do, even I feel a bit of bittersweet nostalgia from seeing that key art. Plus, good to see the classic haircut is back!
The interviewer then noted that they had sympathy for Clementine and didn’t want her dead. “That’s the thing,” said Stauffer. “it's been terrifying thinking about 'how do we announce the final season without fans automatically assuming she's going to die?' That's not the case, it doesn't mean she is going to die. But it means that it will be her final story arc for Telltale.”

I like to call it the “hipster who spends most of their time on their laptop using starbucks WiFi” haircut

I really wanna see her reaction to it lol. Thank heavens the puffs are back though. Nice homage.
Note to self: Finally draw that one picture at some point
Fixed.
Which is funny considering she just sat there and let it happen

She'd fit perfectly in Life Is Strange, not TWD.

Haha, no prob man!
Come on! If you can take all these requests why can’t I just get a Riddler avatar already? ;(
The Walking Dead: The Final New Frontier.

Yeah, it was pretty dark.

I like that in the clems pic all the walker are bald lol just realized that
didn't even notice that! I guess they're trying to show us how much time has passed lol
Thank you so much!!!! You have made my Weekend!!!! Thank you so so so so much!!!!!
Don't look like AJ to me hmm might be Omid Jr.
I dunno, he kinda looks like Alvin to me. Bigger afro, but I see the resemblance lol.
Is that Hilltop on the far right?
Maybe
Oh god please no, don't even give Telltale ideas
I hope the each Episode is around the 2 hour mark. THIS IS THE FINAL SEASON TELLTALE, GO ALL OUT!!

Nah Hilltop has walls and all sorts of stuff built up around it.
Now we need the episode now.
Hilltop seems unlikely, assuming Telltale really is taking advice from fans, doing comic connections again would be dumb, seeing that ANF just made it boring because it was just characters we knew would be fine.
OR...Hear me out. We get a small callback and no one has to die or even be shown cause Javier's story wrapped up fine.
Nah, no need for a callback if they'll survive, lets leave it wrapped up and buried in that case.
Wait...what if the key art is showing us a scene where it is found out that AJ is the Zombie Messiah and the walkers are trying to keep Clem from axing AJ? Never expected that did you?
