Let's talk about anything TWD related! (memes, theories, ships, etc.)

edited July 2018 in The Walking Dead

The final season is slowly approaching, AND I'M LITERALLY LOSING IT!! I don't know if I can wait any longer. So, I decided to make this to talk about anything Walking Dead(only the game) related. It doesn't matter if from what season. Just get lit in the comments.

I'll start by talking about ships, AND HOW GABENTINE WON'T HAPPEN!! I've seen a lot of people like "gABeNtInE wILl hAPPeN" Sis... The Garcia family is not returning. Plus, Gabe is a determinate character. So, unless Telltale put in a lot of work to make the ANF endings matter in season 4, Gabentine is dead. (like Gabe sksksk)

Now let the comments commence!
(p.s. I hope Louis is a good guy cause him and Clem look cute together dnfewnfcodn)

  • Hi! This is my first comment on here ^^
I recently just re-played Season 2, and made some different choices than I normally would have. honestly it was actually kinda hard sometimes LOL
Also I've been showing my mom the series recently, I just finished episode 2 of season one and she's really enjoying it!

  • Not that I want to annoy anyone, but I hate Eleanor.

  • Honestly I kind of do too, she was nice at first but what she did later on was terrible.

  • Yep. Fuck her. Even if you side with her she'll betray you, although she at least looks likes she feels a bit bad for it. BITCH IF YOU FEEL BAD FOR IT MAYBE DON'T DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!?

  • When Javi and Kate met her in the room after all the havoc in Richmond, she had the nerve to blame Javi for everything. After that, I wanted Gabe to gut her right then and there. Like bitch, YOU'RE the one that told Joan about their scheming and cause Ava's/Tripp's death. I blamed everything on her 100% and told her to go to hell. Now that I really think about it, why didn't David kill Eleanor?! He was about to die because of her, yet he said nothing to her. Had he killed her, I would've been on his side throughout the remainder of the game.

  • Clem didn't say she trusted Tripp more than her for no reason so it was obvious the moment Clem said that she cant ever be wrong

If Lee actually saw Gabentine kiss

And then Gabe would get to meet Lee and it would basically look like this:

  • You mean, ''Clem did say she trusted Tripp more than her''

Joan was probably gonna hang David regardless. That stage was already being built the morning before.

  • Gabe deserves someone who'll actually be there/good for him.

  • How about this - Gabe should've been like Luke, sometimes stubborn and Clumsy because plot devices, yet one who's just seems likeable and respectable because of the things he's pulled off in the past. It's okay for him to run away during Kate's surgery in Prescott, but he shouldn't rant about Javier saving him just because he's in a tight spot. I think Clem would like 13-year-old Luke. Also, didn't it seem wierd for Gabe to just randomly walk up to Clem and start talking to her on the road after Prescott got overrun (in the night if this helps you remember)? Maybe it was just the animations.

Actually, she approached him to check up on him after that moment of intensity.

  • Also, they could have had Gabe being a bit more advanced in puberty. I mean, he's barely as tall as Clem is in s3, doesn't really have deepened voice, cowardish attitude of a kid that would cry if he couldn't go with someone etc. it just made the relationship more cringe worthy, because Clem was already maturing a lot.

Nah, I thought he was just a year or too old, honestly.

he's barely as tall as Clem is in s3

He's about the same size as Ava, who's still over a head taller than Clementine.

cowardish attitude of a kid that would cry if he couldn't go with someone

The closest he ever came to crying off the top of my head was when he and Kate got trapped in the junkyard.

because Clem was already maturing a lot.

You do know it's not uncommon for girls to grow up faster than boys of the same age, right?

Clem was actually 1 year younger. And also how tf could he be a head taller?? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/AyD0lg2Cg1k/hqdefault.jpg
EDIT: also, if you remember Gabe used to complain because he couldn't decide in particular situations, couldn't get over how useless he was when attempting to help Kate etc. He was definitely acting childish and majority of the players would agree and nearly everyone hated him(especially Pewdiepie)

Huh. Either that's one of those occasional perspective fails or she got taller over the course of the three or so days.

: also, if you remember Gabe used to complain because he couldn't decide in particular situations, couldn't get over how useless he was when attempting to help Kate etc.

Being overwhelmed/upset isn't mutually exclusive to outright crying, though.
And if anything, he was more on the reckless and overenthusiastic side rather than shrinking away at adversity.

    He was definitely acting childish

Oh, the 14yo teenager sometimes acts childish--stop the presses!

  • I wanted gabe to gut her because that would be a pretty pathetic way to die, getting killed by gabe. And the number of deaths that happened in Richmond probably wouldn’t have as big as they were if Eleanor didn’t say anything. And i dont think she would’ve hung David regardless of if she knew what he was planning or not.

Well, let's look at the facts shall we:

    • Javier and David discover that Max and Badger were raiding other settlements on Joan's orders, as confirmed by Max himself. Having killed/doomed Badger and lost track of Lonnie, they either decide to use Max to get back into Richmond to help them expose Joan to the rest of the Council or shoots him.
    • The three/two confront Joan about this in front of the Council, during which Joan manages to turn Clint against David for his/both crimes and has the brothers detained. Lonnie is either arrested alongside them and Max for their part or shot by David after framing him as the mastermind of the raids.
    • The next morning, Joan reveals that she intends to have David exposed to the community the following day and replaced as Head of Security, taking him with her for "questioning(?)." Javier escapes the cell with the help of Kate/Gabe, who came looking for him.
    • Meeting back up at Eleanor's new apartment with the Prescottites and determinately Ava, the Garcia's plan to rescue David before either escaping New Richmond or liberating it from Joan's control.
    • Javier, Gabe, and Ava raid the Armory in the same building as Dr. Lingard's office, where they convince Bob to leave his post, encounter and knock out The Specialist, and link up with Clementine in Lingard's office, where they learn that Joan is rounding up all alleged traitors and determinately learn where AJ was left in exchange for assisting the doctor in committing suicide.
    • Talking the rescue plan through with Ava, Eleanor, and Tripp, the Garcia Van Group(and Clementeen) head across the river near Richmond to steal an armored truck to use as a getaway vehicle.

By sunrise the day of David's "Hearing" in the townsquare, Javier and his group had become a threat Joan's Backdoor Operation to fortify the city against another long Winter, escaped custody, killed several of their major community members(including two Lieutenants and the Head of Medicine), stolen weapons from their own armory, and hijacked an armored truck from a nearby expansion outpost.

To say Joan had a gavel to pound the Garcias with would be an understatement.

  • Apocalypse averted? No. The virus itself is very much beneath notice at this point. The way I see it, I think it'd be important for Clementine to travel back in time to when she helped rescue Kate, Gabe, and Mariana at the junkyard, inform Mariana that she's pretty neat, telling her "You know, for the 3 minutes we spent in the same space, you're not that bad." before Badger shoots her. After that, she'll travel even further back to the moment right before Jane and Luke are about to fuck, cockblock the entire time so that Jane doesn't kill herself over her pregnancy in the future, and tell luke that he should be more careful, that he could be "treading on mighty thin ice ;)" . Moments after, she'll stick around for destruction of the deck, and pull Sarah back so she doesn't get trapped underneath it. After that, she'll travel all the way back to season 1 and shoot Ben after Katjaa's death, that way he won't tell Kenny it was his fault for his family's death, which would result in Kenny keeping a leveled head during the Crawford Raid. And ofcourse, she'll travel forward in time to the moment Eleanor and Javi have their little dispute, and beat the living shit out of her.

  • If at all possible, help me understand this. When exactly did Eleanor's backstabbing happen? I'm not sure exactly when she went about betraying them. All I know is that she did.

    Priorities/Pragmatics! :joy:

    Okay, gettin better.

I'm trying to wrap my head around what an anomaly that order of travel/business could be.
