My Standard edition still hasn't shipped yet...
  • edited June 2010
At most 18 17 16 more days for them to start shipping by the end of Spring.

can i know what's lacking on ToMI Deluxe Edition? why it's isn't ready for shipping yet? thanks

Might as well ask the Mer-chieftan if you can have a cookie.

edit: and the title of this topic now lies. The blog says standard edition is shipping "nowish" not "now" (not that most of us care anyway cuz we got the deluxe.)

If you bother to read the blog here:
    http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-627

It's the Art Portfolio and Voodoo Cards that are not yet printed.
Deluxe has Voodoo card, hence it ain't ready.

The blog also nicely says all the stuff they have should be shipped soon, and the stuff not quite finished should be out the door in "the next couple of weeks"

So jeeze give up with the whining, they are getting there; its not their fault if Lucas Arts took forever to approve things and with Monkey Island being so popular and extended pre-order due to lucas arts they probably got far more pre-orders than predicted meaning that'd throw printing out of whack

DVD only took 3 weeks to get approved and finished, Jake even said so. While that was being done, they should have organized the other stuff.

This has nothing to do with Lucas Arts, the delay is because of Telltale.
  • edited June 2010
Perhaps LA had to approve the other things as well?
  • edited June 2010
Or perhaps we don't know... Just a thought.

Not really. Legally and monetary speaking Telltale woulda been screwed if they had printed anything before approval.

The approvals really didn't take all that long, only a week or two.

It's Will who said that. Jake edited the first post of this thread, most likely its title as well, and linked to the blog.
    Get your facts right! :p

    Now, repeat after me:
    Jake__________________________________Will

(It's even written on the second one! Although, pretend he's not wearing glasses, okay?)

Just print the pictures and pin them up your wall. That helps me a lot.

Judging from that photo, I think Will could take on Jake in a fight.

I don't want them to fight! They might end up damaging their faces!

    Yeah right!

Look at Will! See the anger in his eyes....

Jake would go down in 10-20 seconds.

I agree, Will definitely looks like a cold blooded psychopathic killer...

Those eyes are pure crazy eyes. 100 percent crazy eyes...

jake has cool cunning eyes he looks experienced at taking down someone in a second with out breaking a sweat

Will can shoot lasers out of his uber-modified spectacles, that he bought from a specialised dealer in such things.
"With a refreshing citrus laser with no unpleasant afterburn."

Watch out Jake, you're gonna get owned.

jake has a deflector rainbow on his shirt that bounces the lazers back 10 fold!

You have to be the first person to really comment on my sig, it's more of a joke really. I'm not truly as pessimistic as Marvin, it's just at times it can make you feel the way he would.

Jake looks like the sort of guy who would be a bully, and unsuspectingly pick a fight with Will. He'd push him a few times, and then Will would turn his head slowly.... And then Jake would be dead.
  • edited June 2010
Jake could rip his heart out and show it him!

Wait a minute. This random argument has distracted me from my ridiculous rage.

Where is the DVD! Why have there been no updates since last week! Why has standard not even shipped yet! Why is taking so long!

It's 7th June now. Where the fuck is this stuff?

"Will will win!" Is Will's will win slogan, what does Jake got? I mean come on...

Jake will make, uh uh take, uh uh ....??Seriously what kind of slogan can you make with jake?

WWW, Will Will Win . Jake just isn't slogan worthy. I wouldn't back some one who didn't even have a good slogan, sorry...

    WWWD What Would Will Do?

Fixed. There is a difference between this '!' and this '?'. All credibility was lost from that post.

No, the ! displays my burning inner rage. The ? completely destroys it.

Telltale is taking forever.... They're failboat at shipping merch...

And will would kick jake's arse....... And then some... Cos Will > Jake!

    I want monkey island stuff!
  • edited June 2010
Who says you can't use both '!' and '?' - then your displaying both rage and grammatical correctness.

And plus, are sure there is nothing else you could be doing to pass the time? Complaining on the forums isn't going to make the DVD come any faster. How about you go through and play Tales or the other Monkey Island games again? Maybe you could play some of your other favourite games. Perhaps you could go back and admire some of other the merchandise that you already have (not even necessarily MI merchandise). Make a Monkey Island tribute video. Hey, maybe you could even go out and ride a bike, or see friends, or learn a language (then you can complain in foreign forums).
