  • Several?

There was about four gay guys, two of whom are pretty minor and literally only there to show the relationship. Who else is their in the comic besides that?

Also they've had two already, thats hardly shying away from it... an further more what are they shying away from?

Being that there are several gay/lesbian characters in the comic, I think not shying away from representing them in the game is only fair.

  • Well i feel like American Vets with PTSD should be in TWDG.

We are a minority, why shouldn't we get special treatment.

  • Why is he a dick? Thats literally what people are implying with this

    wow you're a dick.

  • Why shouldn't i get my soap box? A vet kills himself every 80 minutes because of PTSD. Why shouldn't i get my say, is the GAY/Lesbian/whatever cause more important than veterans?

  • no one said you have to go to war

war we have no business fighting because its just about oil.

I'm a vet of both Iraq and Afghanistan, i can't wait to trade in my oil for that new island in the South Pacific. Soon as the paperwork goes through i will be golden.

  • classy, Still my point has been made. Gay/Lesbians were already in this game, now they should pander to another demographic to be fair to share the spotlight. Maybe they should have a character who has anorexia, IDD (identity dissociative disorder), extreme autism with fits of violence, handicapped people, Wiccans, Mormons,

    list goes on and on.

  • yeah i don't think that's what you meant with your comment. i think you were just being an asshole honestly.

  • Shit, what do I look like, Google? I'm not going to list them all. Kirkman has called out each one in the letters after the comic. There have been several - way more than four. Two I can list off the top of my head that you probably haven't thought of are Carol, who wanted to have a three-way-marriage with Rick and Lori, and Martinez, the governor's second in command. If you want to get a full list...that's probably a lot of homework.

And if me saying "shying away from it" sounded like I implied that Telltale was shying away from representation, I'm not. I think they're doing fine.

  • Hey you are a Guilty Crown fan! I Love that anime :)

I am the guilty king. And I can say whatever the fuck I want.

  • Martinez? I dont really remember

And carol was basically insane, she wanted to marry lori and rick who were already married, thats just plain weird

  • yeah coral had pretty much lost it by that point but there people who like to have relationships with multiple partners. its called "Polyamory". i'm not saying that's what carol was but it is a thing. yeah it is a little weird honestly.

  • I'm not going to defend polyamory, but Carol was weird and crazy for a long damn list of things she did. Wanting to sleep with her two of her married friends was probably pretty low on the list of how bonkers she got.

    TOTALLY SANE.

Yeah, that's probably closer to the top.

  • Why? What relevance does the sexuality of a character have to the plot?

As someone said before, Sarah is the example of how Tumblr will go up in arms over a non-existent issue because a character they liked died in a fashion they didn't like, and because they feel she's disabled cough she's not cough they feel justified in their attacks.

  • These are in the forum guidelines

1.1 R-E-S-P-E-C-T! We're all here to have fun, so be cool to each other. Always behave respectfully towards other community members, moderators and Telltale team members. Insults, hate speech, platform wars… leave it out. If you feel especially slighted by another forum member, use the "Flag" button to report their comments to moderators instead of shooting back!

You think you can calm down a little on the insults? He was being respectful to you, yet all you say back to him is "fuck you" and you call him an asshole. That's really rude.

yeah i don't think that's what you meant with your comment. i think you were just being an asshole honestly.

  • yep not insane in anyway.

  • nah there's something about his tone i didn't like. it wasn't respectful.

That's funny coming from you. How can you expect respect if you are not respectful yourself?

Also he wasn't even being disrepectful, you're just being too sensitive.

  • I agree that the character is the most important thing, but believe me if S3 had for example had mostly non white people, I think there would be a lot of complaints. Not just about the realism thing. I remember someone in here saying that playing two black protagonists and one girl was too much for them and they wanted to go back to a 'normal' character.

I don't think that many people would care if there was not as many white people. I'm white myself and I thought/think Lee is awesome, he is one of my favorite video game characters.

Oh wow, you did type a lot.XD

As much as I enjoy a good debate, I hope you understand that I'd rather not get into a discussion concerning such a controversial topic. I've already had two of my posts flagged by another user due to my unpopular opinion, even though I don't believe that anything in my comment was malicious, or insulting. I've been contemplating whether of not I should respond to your well thought out post, and I've finally decided not to, because I'm fairly sure I will get flagged and/or banned for it. So as you said previously, yes, let's agree to disagree.:)

  • Don't worry about it. I enjoy a good debate as well.

I have to admit I get way too carried away when it comes to any topic, whether controversial or not, lol.
I apologize if I came as rude, antagonistic, or anything negative, that wasn't my intent. I was just expressing how I saw things from different perspectives. XD

And I'm sorry that happened to you. Like I said before (if I had said it before in this community :p) people should be free to have whatever opinion or believe in whatever they want as long as they don't go around actively hurting others because of their opinions.

Oh you are anything but rude, antagonistic, or negative! I've always enjoyed talking to you, whether we're debating or not, because you are always so cordial in your stance and/or disagreement with me.:)

My thoughts exactly. I wish more users on here would react rationally/calmly to other opinions, but that may be asking too much. It happens, I more or less expect it now. But because I've been flagged so many times, I'm trying to lay low for a little bit haha.

I agree, homosexuality has become more of a political issue, than anything else.
Many disagree with it, on either political, or moral grounds.
I personally disagree with it; for the latter reason.

It's a shame that politics seems to find it's way into every corner of the world today.
    And into people's lives.
No matter where you go, there's always a political debate about something.
And almost everyone today has some sort of political ideas.

I personally, can't stand hearing about politics.
Every time I turn on the news, it's bombarded with some kind of political ideology.
It would be nice to be able to turn on the news, and not hear about politics.

I especially can't stand it when election time rolls around.
Politicians always make grandiose promises, but never come through on them.
Even if the one making them is indeed sincere, he's still gotta go through miles of red tape to get his proposal approved, that often times, the proposal will get lost.
Not to mention he's gotta also contend with politicians who have become corrupt, by the power that their high positions afford them.

  • If it is indeed self-hatred, than changing their sex; will not remove the reason for their self-hatred.
Changing how you look, or whatever, will not change who you are, nor what you are as a person.
That kind of change, takes place on the inside.
If someone doesn't like something about their personality, than that's what they need to endeavour to change.

Everyone is entitled to their own views and opinions, politically, legally, and to some degree; morally.
You want others to respect your opinions, don't you?
    Respect is a two-way street.
In order to get it, you have to be willing to give it.

That's just a basic principle in life.
