Reminds me! Speaking of the height of the person holding the sword, notice how Kate Capsize is taller than Guybrush!
I just rewatched the ending of Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, and I don't see any indication that the carrier of the sword is shorter than Guybrush., as some have suggested.
Wait, I've got it! How could I be so stupid, when the answer was starring us in the face the whole time?! The true owner of the mystery voice could only be one person...
GUYBRUSH'S BEARD, back to get revenge on Guybrush for being shaved off between the end of Secret of Monkey Island 2 and the start of Curse of Monkey Island!
Would I sound too crazy if I said it sounds like it's voiced by the same lady who does the voice of the Voodoo Lady? Take away the hilariously fake accent and the tone sounds the same, what's left underneath sounds like it could be a lady of African descent.
Interestingly enough, that would fit Carla to a tee, and it would match closely enough to how she sounded in Escape from Monkey Island.
Coupling this with her weapon being a rather thin bladed sword (which would be perfect for duelling), it seems that Telltale is trying to make a not-so-subtle hint as to whom it might be. After all, why else would they show the sword? I admit, it might be a red herring, but it would be a fairly cheap red herring if it were, and I've come to know Telltale to have better writers than that.
Wow i think Us Monkey Island fans think alike seriously, cause i first thought it was Wally or Kate Capsize, how weird is that,if its Wally id be thrilled cause i really like his character, and Kate Capsize would be interesting, but i doubt you'd be able to use the "pick up" line on her lol

Maybe we played different versions of the game because in mine the "mystery woman" doesn't sound anything like the voodoo lady or Carla from EMI. Also it's been confirmed that she is voiced by Nicki Rapp.
It doesn't seem to me like the Sea of Beige Flotsam and Flotsam Island are in any way related. It doesn't even seem like Flotsam Island was inspired by that joke from MI2. If there was supposed to be a direct connection between the two, they would have made it funnier and more obvious. They'd have come up with some sort of plot device that makes it so that only beige-colored flotsam washes up on the island, and the characters would have made comments about how boring it is. I really don't believe it's an intentional reference at all.
I think it could be Kate Capsize, obvious that she'll want payback for Guybrush framing her so he wouldn't get caught again by Governor Phatt (if you've played MI 2 you'll know what I mean).

WOW, the cliffhanger really made my eyes pop out of my head and my jaw drop to the floor (almost)!
For some reason, my first thought about who the threatening female voice belonged to, was Carla.
Then Kate Capsize.
But it could very well be this Morgan LeFlay character, since we don't know anything about this pirate hunter person.
But what really made me go  was the sight of Elaine and LeChuck! OMFG!!! That totally made me go: WTF happened?! Elaine must think that Guybrush is dead, as she looked so sad. But how come she doesn't reject him and his attempts at coming on to her? Either it's not what it looks like, or she's tricking him somehow, or there's this theory about LeChuck being "good" now... Can't wait to find out what's really going on!
Elaine as amnesia from the explosion, Lechuck has convinced her that they are married, Lechuck will convince Elaine that Guybrush is an evil pirate, and Elaine will then try to defeat Guybrush, Guybrush must help her get her memory back to save himself and so they can stop Lechuck

Because the "threatening voice" is this one female dubber, forgot her name, and because she said in her blog she was voicing "Morgan le Flay". Whether its an alias or not, she sadly doesnt say.
Interesting! I actually hadn't considered that, and it's a very valid idea and it would make for a fantastic character comeback. She has reason enough to hate Guybrush, that's for sure, but would she have the skill and inclination to become a pirate-hunter? We'll have to see!
(Though I have to say, the screenshot was especially convincng.)
I'm inclined to think that this is an alias, almost all dramatic figures of such merit have one. A sort of Dread Pirate Robins scenario, if you will. She'll probably be masked for a bit, too.
Moving along...
As I look at the replies to my post, I sadly see some instances of reading comprehension failure, intentional or not.
I think you completely glazed over the fact that I said it would sound like what the Voodoo Lady might sound like sans hilariously overdone accent, which would actually result in a character that sounds (shock!) rather different from the Voodoo Lady, it's just a matter of being able to separate voice from accent.
And I've recently replayed Escape from Monkey Island (just over a month back) and I do think the clip sounds close enough to Carla from EMI, I didn't at any point even try to claim that it was exactly the same, which is what you seem to be falsely implying I said.
It's fun how words can be twisted, even in a direct quote, if you just ignore the chunks of the post you're quoting that aren't so convenient. I really don't like it when people do that, it's so ... political. Especially since you're just picking at a guy for his opinion, we aren't running for Telltale forum President, last I checked.
Perhaps I should have put obvious emphasis on "sounds like" (though it didn't seem necessary at the time), I never said that it was but simply that, to me, the voice (sans accent) sounded a bit similar to the Voodoo Lady.

What I'm getting at here is that I was talking about sound-alikes under certain conditions, and yet my post was read as if I were talking about people who were voice doubles, despite going out of my way to clarify that I wasn't.
When talking about sound-alikes, I still think the clip at the end could possibly hint at it being the Swordmaster, but that's just my opinion.
BTW although its almost positively the pirate hunter at the end.... there is a chance that it isn't. Ok I'm still holding out for the hilarious fish out of water idea of Wally being a feared Pirate hunter.
Remember in Monkey Island 2, Largo Legrand was wearing a bra.
After what happend to him and what Guybrush did to him, he had a sex change and also changed his name to Morgan Le Flay.
Which could be an anagram for:
Morgan Le Flay = Largo Lyfe Man
Morgan Le Flay = Largo Fyle Man
Morgan Le Flay = Largo Le Fy Man
Morgan Le Flay = Largo Le Man Fy
Morgan Le Flay = Largo yn Femal = "Largo is a female"?
Morgan Le Flay = Largo Femalyn
...and so on.....
try to play some more with the letter I'm to tired, but I'm sure it's an anagram for Largo somehow.
Oh my god! I've sussed it guys! Morgan La Flay is actually Chuck Jordan! Morgan La Flay --> Bobby Flay --> Chuck Jordan! (Skip to the end to get the "joke".)
Hey, does anyone else think Guybrush's expression when he's held at sword point is kind of weird? He doesn't look particularly surprised, considering that out of nowhere someone's climbed aboard his ship and is threatening to kill him.
Now that would be awesome! You know, if he'd teamed up with a hot chick (because what woman wouldn't love to hook up with Murray?) she could be the one holding the sword and stuff.
Comments
Actually he wasn't in 1 or 4

Cay
Spinner Dolphin
Or...perhaps more interesting: the Spinner Shark
Spinner Cay is most likely a small piece of land surrounded by sharks. Or at least we can hope.
I was kind of hoping the Pirate hunter would end up being Wally.
After the big build up of how awesome and tough he is it would be funny if it ended up being soft spoken, little Wally.
GUYBRUSH'S BEARD, back to get revenge on Guybrush for being shaved off between the end of Secret of Monkey Island 2 and the start of Curse of Monkey Island!
Guess that seals the coffin on the Wally theory. ;_;
Pro-Kate sig
Pro-Carla sig
if any one wants to take a better crack at it be my guest
That pic could just be a perspective/proportion problem on lucasarts part

Sooo... Carla.
At least I think so.
Same here...Guybrush really screwed her over.
this seals it for me

Check the credits its not the same person

a Chinese Elaine's cousin :o
Morgan le Flay = A Manly Golfer!
I figured it out!
Er... wait...
Normal Gay Elf!
Of course!
But we're thinking morgan is just an alias
Someone we already know = morgan
Of course! Why didn't anyone think of that?
Nah man
telltale games .. make GOOD story lines
Why so sure about that?
I mean, it could be Morgan, but its not obvious.
And personally i think its too quickly, even for professional pirate hunter.

wasn't actually being serious, the reason i put spoilers was, it was about the end of the game.
